As the TF3 movie release date draws closer, more plot spoilers have potential be revealed-read at you own risk. Over at fellow fansite TFW2005, member Cth (Cthilhu) has posted a number of pages from several upcoming TF3:Dark of the Moon children's books, one called The Lost Autobot and the other called Optimus Prime's Friends and Foes. While both books are not yet available for sale (like the toys, their street date is also Monday, May 16th, 2011), apparently a few have popped up on bookstore shelves for fan review. In one of the books, Wheeljack's alt mode is confirmed as the blue Mercedes Mercedes E550 we saw in the filming spyshots and galleries last summers. Also included are images of Mirage as well as several scenes from the movie.

Additional unconfirmed but presumed plot spoilers include:

• Optimus Prime's trailer can transform into a shield
• The Wreckers are Autobot mechanics who will assist in rebuilding an Autobot spaceship, possibly the Ark
• Sentinel Prime's primary weapon is a rust cannon
• Laserbeak can/will transform into several common alt modes including a computer, stereo, and TV.
• Megatron will use a spacebridge will be used to transport a Decepticon army from the Moon to Earth.

Both of these books will be available in stores on May 17th and can also be found on Amazon.com HERE and HERE.

Those kiddie books make me chuckle, but I always knew that the blue mercades was going to be Wheeljack or Perceptor just by how he was described.

Wheeljack is blue and Mirage is red? Bah! No sir, I don't like it at all.

Wow. I'm really not liking the designs here. Wheeljack looks like an area 51 grey alien... and that red Wrecker looks like friggin' Gwildor from the live action He-Man movie.

And if they're re-using an old characters name, you'd think they could respect 25 years of history and at LEAST color the robot the same... Wheeljack white. Sideswipe red. Ironhide red. Ratchet white. Mirage blue.... and yes, Optimus Prime red (not mostly-blue).

Really, I think they're just pulling names out of a big hat.

Gads, thanks for pointing that out. Robots with hair... this might have just jumped the Sharkticon.

I'm more concerned with Leadfoot's pot belly. Just because I have one, doesn't mean I want my robots to have one too. Still buying all his versions tho, favorite driver!

I think Bay needs to watch or re-watch ALL the G1 series from 84 on up! including the Transformer The movie from 86. Hell, even watch all the Japanese series as well, even though the voice overs are terrible but we get the idea.

Am I the only one who is very upset with the "Wreckers" being mech-bots and not the Autobot's Special Ops? Its "WRECK and RULE!!!" not "Oh, that's wrecked. Let's fix it!" Dammit, I'll say it again, DAMN YOUS, MICHAEL BAY, DAMNN YOUS ALL TO HELL!! (shaking fist at the air).

Something tells me that Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy will be the voices for Roadbuster, Topspin and Leadfoot, since Bay has placed them as hilljack NASCAR lovers.

What makes Wheeljack even worse is that if the movie carries over his prequel comic personality he will be speaking in a stereotypical "tally ho, wot" British accent i.e. Colonel K from Dangermouse.

C'mon, take it easy, people! It IS a different continuity, after all!

As for the designs, I'll wait until we see the film renders before making judgement (oh yeah, I spell judgement with an 'e'! Take that, US! Haha...Just being silly; love the US, but I prefer our English English! Hehe ANYWAY)

So...Yes...Renders...I'll wait.

Not a fan of the movie designs, but Mirage looks good. In both modes.

So far, looks like I'm picking up 3 DOTM toys!

Leader Ironhide.

That's 3 more than the other 2 films put together.


The rest of the designs, especially Wheeljack, looks like ass.
