One of the best trailers had the homage to us G1 fans of the original transformation sound when Optimus transformed in front of LeBouf and Fox. Was that sound axed in the final cut???? Some of the new trailers Ive noticed were missing that classic sound.
Thanks!

Oh bugger this whole "not being allowed to discuss things until the 23rd" stuff.

Who said you had to actually SAY anything? How about just a smile or a frown. That's not really talking, that's non-verbal and not breaking any prior agreement you had, unless they said no smiling or frowning?!

*thinks* Was the first to transform a 'Con? Don't think so.
But anyway, seeing as there's a trailer floating around then I think it's safe for me to say that the classic transforming sound we heard when Prime transformed HAS been removed from that particular scene.

I think it's supposed to be Blackout. (When he attacks the base at Qatar)
But there's the few scenes BEFORE that, which are supposed to briefly explain the war between the Autobots and Decepticons.
So only those who've seen it so far know.

That blows but thanks for the heads up. At least I wont be disappointed when I see the flick now.

Why would they put it in a major trailer only to yank it from the film?
Is there a chance that the trailer sans-classic transformation sound is an older version? Or perhaps a mistake?

It was a "filler" sound. Since they didn't have adequate noises for transforming at the time, (The one with the Classic Sound is the older one) they used the Classic Sound.

They put it into the trailer to:
1. apease the fanboys and girls
2. Kinda show that it really doesnt work within the limits set by these transformations.
Thats why everyone was all "whoo hoo theres the sound, but it sounds out of place"

Out of place? Really?
Seemed cool to me.

nah it's very out of place.
You have all these pieces shifting and moving with all the shifting and moving sounds to match and then suddenly out of no where there's this sound generated on an 80's synthesizer come out of no where to symbolise some part shifting into place and it really doesn't work. But that's just my opinion, if others think it works then it works for them.
