Contrary to popular belief Bay hates greenscreen effects and using computer generated scenery when he can get a shot of a real location and use practical effects. He'd rather spend the extra money on something that's real if he can. Short of places that either don't exist anymore (WW2 era Pearl Harbor) or don't exist at all (Cybertron, the futuristic cityscape in The Island) you can probably bet safely that most of what you just saw was filmed on a live set. Setting CGI characters against a real backdrop will always look more realistic in the end.

Still, now that I've watched that clip the month of June will only drag on longer. I want DotM to get here already.

Director Michael Bay selected a group of precision skydivers to perform stunts in the film after seeing the extreme sportsmen on '60 Minutes' one night. The show featured footage of the skydivers jumping off mountains with the help of wingsuits, which allow the guys to essentially fly (don't worry, they have parachutes, too).

Yehhh i'm actually really looking forward to this scene, i'm hoping they make good use of the 3D right here and make you feel like your right in there with the assault team.

@ 2:14 when the wing suits glide past building is that 2 shots into the building or one that rips clean through ? my playback was glitchy there but i think its one shot straight through or large projectile of some sort.

June is looking a rather long drawn out month

This is why I say Michael Bay is freaking awesome. He thinks big. If it where me, I would have just made the entire scene completely CG.

AWESOME EPICNESS !!! Damn DOTM will be the first TF movie I catch on cinema and I plan on watching it atleast before 1 week after it premiered .
