Is anyone else scared?

Am I the only one worried about the quality of DOTM. I'm one of those people who love ROTF. I loved everything about it (minus the humor. But really when you put it all together, it's only like 15 seconds of a near 3 hour long movie.) I also liked that it was long. The actions that Bay is making regarding the people who didn't like ROTF; taking out the twins, coupled with the new info on how long the movie will be (the shortest of the trilogy), I've began to worry. I've waken up twice in a week's span, having dreamed that DOTM would be way too short and disappointing, with only a few action scenes.

I am honestly worried by this. It's supposed to be the last one, and for that; I don't want a short, "no-action until the end" movie. I was hoping that it would be the longest and the biggest, but I guess not.

Not really, just gotta keep it in perspective reletive to the other two films. The first film was long, but moved very slowly to the point I thought it got boring before the second half when the Autobots show up in force. RotF was better about this, getting the boring part out of the way at the 1/4 point then keeping a steady pace up to the finale.

With DotM being shorter it means that they'll have to get to the action quicker, and keep ramping it up until the very end. I doubt it's length will harm the film any. Hell, it'll probably benefit from it in the long run.

Also, I'm currently wagering with a friend that the Twins will be in there. Bay's just trying to shut the Paramount executives up until June 29th.

In a way though, I'm still kind of scared. This is supposed to be the last one directed by Bay. I'm gonna miss this series. Then what if the next director just totally ruins Transformers? Not that "ruined forever" crap, but what if they get EVERYTHING wrong?

Sly, you almost had me there. Not comedy genius, but certainly comedy worthy enough of teaching a a school people choose to go to.

There might not be any more movies at all, at least for a good few years. Personally I'd like to see the focus going back exclusively to the TV series'. Animated, which in my humble opinion, was far superior to the currently airing Transformers Prime, got tragically buried under the onslaught of the movieverse, then finished off by The Hub.

With the movies taking up less attention there could only be better prospects for a TV series to have a good run with some potentially interesting character and story driven arcs, without a torrent of movie toys coming out and drowning the TV series completely.

I agree. Though, I still want movies to be around. I liked Animated better than the movies and Prime, and they just slaughtered it. Prime is nowhere near Animated's level. And it doesn't look like it will ever get there.

The only thing bugging me is a certain spoiler I've heard about...though oddly enough, I did have a dream where DOTM sucked, but that was partly because the dream began to spiral off in random directions and I had no idea what was happening.

From what we've been provided so far, I think it's going to turn out to be the best of the 3. It looks like they took it a bit more seriously this time around.

On another dream note, before the title was revealed I'd had a dream TF3 would be on the Moon which was kinda cool.

Well, I don't want to sound like a jerk but that's exactly what the "RuinedFOREVER" crap is. If the next movie is a reboot (which is likely knowing Transformers as a series) then you just gotta adapt and look forward to new stories and characters, along with a new style.

I don't mean the style, I mean turn Transformers into something boring and unoriginal. Just like TF Prime, but worse!

The only dream that I can remember clearly was that the movie started off and there was a bunch of talking. Then Epps gets mad and leaves the military, then the Decepticons come to Chicago and blew stuff up, then I woke up.

I can't even remember what happened in mine, there were some people talking, and I think IronHide...and that's it.

The Moon dream was much cooler, it actually looked like a movie preview, apparently the Combaticons landed on the Moon for some reason...

Yeah, the short running time of DOTM is a little worrying. I sat through the whole two-plus hours of ROTF without ever noticing how long it was, because the action rarely let up. I did skip through the college stuff after the first viewing, though.

I never understood why people complained that ROTF was too long.

Because they're unevolved and have an attention span of a fudge ball. :P

Heheh, I guess some of the professional reviewers who covered ROTF would fall into that category.

That's a little unfair. You'll find we have a fabulous attention span when the content of our focus isn't filled with p- Oooh shiny.

You have nightmares about this movie not being good? Freaking LOL.
Don't worry! If you found ROTF a good movie I doubt you'd find this bad no matter what they do!

If there are no explosions, I will be pissed. And so what if I found ROTF a "good" movie? Are you saying that it lowers the status of my existence? Are you saying that anyone who liked ROTF would be happy with anything having to do with a live action Transformers movie? Because that's what it sounds like.

Status of your existance? No.

I'm just saying that if you liked ROTF you couldn't be all that hard to impress.

That's what I was saying THE FIRST time. But no; Denial.

I had a dream about DotM too that I totally forgot about until now. The only thing I remember was Sam running around under an overpass or bridge and Optimus accidentally ran over him.

I am worried that they'll try to fix it too much if that makes sense. Like they'll try to please everybody and they'll fix things that weren't broken in the first place. Like there were "too many explosions" and "pointless" battles in a movie about a war.
