Extended Footage for IMAX

It appears Transformers DOTM's IMAX release may have some extended footage. The Official IMAX website has the film's running time listed as 153 minutes. That's 19 additional minutes compared to the 134 minutes that has been previously confirmed for the regular release.

Update: Despite the information provided in the IMAX website Bay's S4TE twitter account has tweeted the following:

Imax print of #Transformers3 has no extra footage as being reported by some web sites. TF3 is 2hrs & 22mins plus 10min credit crawl.

I was gonna see it in IMAX anyway. But thinking about DVD release, how can this be right? Will there be an extended version released in 3D, or did they lie about the running time from the start? I'm not surprised. Michael Bay has been feeding us $#!t since it started filming. Either way, on June 29, I'm going to the IMAX, baby! Thank God there's one in the Providence Place Mall.

Or maybe this is the correct running. ROTF only had a few seconds of extended footage.

Meh, as long as I get to see the Autobots kick ass (which I obviously will), I'm good.

I've seen the previews in 3D I'm just surprised that the IMAX website doesn't say anything about it. I figured everyone is touting the 3D horn why not them too. Oh and By the way Thor in 3D ABSOLUTELY NOT necessary. I can't remember one scene that I was like damn that was cool.

They mention it's 3D here. I agree about Thor not needing to be in 3D, kinda wish I had opted to watch the regular version.

The theater I went to didn't give me a choice if you wanted to see it in IMAX you had to see it in 3D as well. Nothing like shoving it down your throat. Thanks for the link.

Glad you updated. I don't do well with IMAX, and especially 3D. I'll be at the drive in. :D

That is somewhat dissappointing, but also kinda nice, since I wouldn't get to see the IMAX footage til Blu-ray anyway.

I usually don't care about 3D, but I did see the 3D trailer in theaters, and it really stood out as being great 3D. Maybe it's just the TF-Fandom getting to me though, making me think it's the best 3D movie ever.

Could we get the thread's title changed? It's misleading and there's no extended footage for IMAX. It'll give people the wrong idea.
