I hope Spielberg directs it.

With him we'd definately get the Dinobots.

lets see hmmm could they actually bring in Unicron, Galvatron cause in certain issues he and megatron are different people. More triple changers, mmmmm just have to see but I doubt they'll make it unless they skip ahead like they did with the 1986 movie where spike is all grown up cause if he's not in it, and either written out or played by someone else in present time I think people aren't gonna like it all that much.

Would love to see a live-action Unicron, and voiced by Gary Oldman.

oh my epic idea.
what if megs and galvs in the movie continuity are like brothers/rivals, boh with their own section o the decepticons to commmmand, and tf4 is like decepticon civil war breaking out on earth, with galvs trying to overthrow megs??? :CON:

See I don't think that would work cause we don't know who ibn the movie is gonna live or die. I would like to see them on cybertron with megs and Prime in control of cybertron then megs attemping to gain possession of the all spark and the begining stages of their war.

Unless they go to Jurassic Park they're not getting alt. mode.

And even then people would be mad that they transform into fleshy "beast modes" instead of metal dinosaurs. Unless they pull the TFA route but in a diff. way (Dinobots scanning animatronic dinos for alt modes)

They could always go like in the G1 cartoon, and have the Autobots make them.

I dunno, it's been four years since the first one came out, isn't it about time for a reboot?

I don't care who directs it as long as it gets made. I'd hate to see the franchise end after 3 films. I'm probably one of the few who doesn't want to see the Dinobots though. They were great in the cartoon but I just don't think they'd work well in a live action film.

It's not going to end, not a chance. Too much of a cash cow for Paramount and other parties involved.

I don't want it to end either. And I also don't want movie dinobots.

Things I want to see / Possibilities for the 4th:
Dinobots
Beast Bots
Cybertron
Unicron
Nemesis Prime / Scourge / Motormaster
Galvatron
Tidal Wave
Omega Supreme
Primus
Focusing on robots instead of humans

That's just what I could come up with off the top of my head

I'm with you on this except the last one. I think having humans who could a) fend for themselves and b) where not completely worthless was a good change. Also from a production standpoint it helps conserve special effects budget for when it's most needed and to make the film more accessible to non-Transformers fans.

Exactly. Hence, why we have a love story. These movies can't survive on just the fans alone. They need the general audience to carry them through. Though i think more robot action could be accepted by the general audience, but it also needs the budget to back it up. If TF had the budget of lets say,.. Avatar, then we could have a nice even blend that i think everyone can get on board with.

Of course if Bay got Avatar's budget (which is rumored to be well past it's listed $300 million) then I'd fear for whichever country he decided to film in. I don't think there would be much left once he was done using the explosives necessary to film the movie.

in all fairness i dont think many people went for the love story. It was flimsy and not well advertised in advance, so it wasnt like it was being marketed in that manner. if you check trailers it really wasnt the emphasis.

As for the director, since Micheal Bay won't return, I would definitely want Nolan to direct it!

Good God no! Nolan's the kind of director you do not want taking on your beloved franchise. The moment he got more creative control than he should have over the Batman series he turned it into a anvilicious social commentary rather than what it is, a comic book movie. While a little more depth in the Transformers movies couldn't hurt Nolan would unfortunately add depth to the point of pretention and self serving idealism.

Short version: **** Nolan and his love letters to himself. Get Zack Snyder. He can make one hell of an action film but when necessary add plenty of depth (see: Sucker Punch).

I rather enjoyed the Batman movies. They made Nolan my favorite director, and they actually sit above Transformers on my favorite movie list

Well that's fine, just don't come crying to me when he turns Megatron into a walking self insert of Nolan's own personal beliefs. Or when he tries to take the mysticism out of the series and replace it with "gritty realism" just because of his well known hate for fantastic elements in comics and animation.

I'm sure the GEEWUNERS would love that.

the only thing to be said with nolan is that he did rescue the batman franchise from campness to respected.

Transformers hasnt descended to bats and robin level, and dotm doesnt look that bad, so the appetite for an ultra serious rebirth is probably not there
