Bumblebee killing people?

WTF is this? I watched the Chevy ad again, and I saw Bumblebee deliberately fire that cannon at a group of soldiers! Why is Bumblebee killing these humans? Are they trying to kill him or what? Whatever it is, I'm pretty sure he has a perfectly good reason for slaughtering those people 8) .

Oh, and here's the video it was in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhyxYO7n ... ideo_title

Because he put a Mountain Dew in the fridge, and it clearly had his name on it, and he specifically told them not to drink it, but they went and drank it all anyway!

He didn't kill anyone. He fired around them, not directly at them.

I won't spoil it, but the Autobots are not killing humans. Merely using their weapons and power to scare the bad ones.

Watch the film, you'll see.

in an homage to Close Encounters, Bumblebee now communicates by firing his gun at people, and having them decipher the flashes it makes. If they're not dead.

Instead of just using his radio? That makes sense.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more of the true ugly nature of humans in these movies. Hah, Ellen Ripley summed it up best in Aliens "You know, Burke, I don't know which species is worse. You don't see them fuking each other over for a goddamn percentage".

Well there WAS Sector 7 torturing Bumblebee for no apparent reason, and Simmons' weird grin when he executed the Nokia-bot. Otherwise, there haven't been any pure-evil humans because most of them are military and, no matter your opinion of them, you don't get very far in the military by being pure evil.

What about Galloway? When he (supposedly) ordered them to drop Optimus's body like that, he was automatically evil.

He was a dick, sure, but he wasn't evil. I mean, how often do you show sadness and remorse for a broken down old robot that you know nothing about? To him, the Transformers were just a bunch of freeloaders who caused tons of collateral damage while giving back nothing of value. Even selling Sam out to the Decepticons; he was certain it would cause them to leave without bloodshed. So he wasn't evil, he was just an asshole who wasn't given enough intel.

Depends on what military. Hitler was military, and you pretty much can't get more evil than him, except for maybe a few sporadic serial killers like Gacy or Bundy.

But, one doesn't have to go the military way. You could lean towards the private sectors, the defense contractors.

Except Hitler was a civilian, not military, just like every other government leader. A lot of the higher-ups in the German military actually hated Hitler.

EDIT: I should elaborate on that one; most government leaders were in the military, but were not serving while they were in office.

Also meant the US military. That should have been obvious.

This is the most stupidest thing I ever read. The German Military was just as responsible for the evil criminal acts during the WW1 and WW2 as Hitler himself. How many civilians became the victims or complete horror in the Vietnam war to some military hands? Look at the hell that is going on in the Middle East right now. Sorry my friend, but while most military systems are set up for defense of one's nation, some are used for evil purposes such as genocide.

History books. Read them. Much of the higher-ups in the German Military hated Hitler and what he was doing with the Holocaust. They even attempted to assassinate him, and do away with the Nazi party. Because remember, being a German Soldier in WW2 didn't actually mean you were a Nazi.

interesting concept, but uinfortunately quite incorrect.

I think nietszche said it best when he said that man himself is not evil, but when in association is capable of the greatest evil, or words to that effect.

I am very anti-military (pacifism and all that) but i would not besmirch the men of the military because of the actions of a minority, be it the horrors of the holocaust, or the terrors of abu gharib.

Those men be it german or american, are sons, brothers, fathers, they are men, not monsters.

Of course thats if you even believe in the concept of evil. I mean the transformers movies can deal with simple terms of good and evil, thats not a criticism, thats how these movies work, but real world is much more different. Should we hate and despise those who cannot help the actions they do due to their nature. fear them yes, protect ourselves from them yes, but hate those who cannot be but what they are.

i posted this before and do so again, because all those men who died in ww1 and ww2 on the whole died for the greed and power of empire building

i was wrong the nietzsche quote was

Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.

but i think most of us can agree that what happened in ww1 and ww2, and in fact most wars is essentially a form of insanity, that man will kill man because they are told too
