Transformers DOTM to Open Exclusively in 3D and IMAX at 9pm on Tuesday, June 28th

After being bumped up from July 1st to June 29th, it now appears the date has been moved up yet again to June 28th at select locations! The following is directly from
Michael Bay's official website.
Paramount Pictures announced today it will open Michael Bay's TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON exclusively at 3D and IMAX locations across the country beginning at 9PM local time on Tuesday, June 28th, allowing moviegoers nationwide to be among the first to see the latest installment in the hit franchise, and the first to be shot in 3D. The movie will open wide beginning at 12AM on June 29th.
"Michael Bay has created an incredibly engaging and immersive 3D experience with this latest movie, one that will undoubtedly be among the most entertaining movie going experiences of the summer," said Paramount's Vice Chairman Rob Moore. "Providing fans an opportunity to see it early in 3D is a great way to kick off the movie's opening."

Dear Paramount,
Please leave the freakin release date alone already. You've already wasted quite a bit of money printing posters that say July 1st. And now we're only 12 days away from the 29th release. So just STOP.

I asked the entire week on vacations just to see it as much times as posible. Althought last time the imax experience, which actually was the premiere 2 me, ended up in a great headache, since the screen is too frakin' big and with all that action, well whatever, one of these times it'll be on imax 3d, that's gonna be sick.. literally.

Won't make any difference to me since I'll be so slammed at work between now and then that my first chance to see it will be July 3rd.
(My ass will be the first in line that morning, with my kids and ex in tow. THAT you can count on!)

could be worse it be onpening on 30th miss it altogethter day early is better than nothing

I have zero interest in 3D but is IMAX only in 3D? If it is, then I have no interest in IMAX.

Tickets for the IMAX version in my area showed up on Fandango today long enough for me and my friends to buy tickets, then the entire listing for the IMAX version is now acting like it doesn't have any times up again.
At least I got my ticket confirmation for the 9pm on the 28th...I'm just hoping the fact that it disappeared after showing up for an hour or two doesn't effect my reserved seating.
