Rated X wrote:Saw it twice through my online sources. Great film. I will for sure be buying the original DVD to add to my collection when it comes out. But ROTF was just better because there was more robot characters with more screentime. Yeah they cut out the dry humor from ROTF (which Im glad) but they still had many pointless human scenes which would have made no difference to the story if they had been deleted.
A few unecessary scenes and concepts were:
1. Sam's Job interviews
2. The break up scene between Sam and Carly where she jumps in the Benz and hands Sam a wet towel. (or some unknown object)
3. The Russian underground mafia gun scene and conspiricy involving Sputnik photos before the crash.
4. Having Simmons in a wheelchair for the last 30 minutes of the film. I may have missed something, but exactly how and when did he get injured ???
5. When Laserbeak threw the chinese guy out the building. Who was he anyway ??? Was he connected to Carly's boss ???
6. The Bill O'Riley show. I personally hate the guy. Keep politics out of the movie.
7. And does anybody have any clue how Simmons got rich in the first place ??? Did he write a book or become a star after helping save the world in ROTF ???
Are you sure you watched DOTM? All of your questions were answered in the movie.
1. Somewhat agree
2. That was a rabbit's foot, that she tore off of the stuffed rabbit she gave to Sam for good luck at the beginning of the movie.
3. That scene played a key role in them discovering the overall plot regarding Sentinel and the pillars.
4. He got injured in the freeway chase scene involving the Dreads.
5. He was one of the Decepticons' human conspirators Laserbeak was dispatched to assassinate. He wasn't directly involved with Dylan, but he knew about the Decepticons' plans.
6. Somewhat agree, it was mainly to fill us in on what Simmons had been up to since the last movie.
7. Yes, he wrote a book about the Transformers on earth.
