The film was badass, sentinel prime best villian ever, but there were some very sad scenes.

Which scenes made you sad?

when they autobots are forced to leave on the shuttle. first optimus talks to sam and says the typical optimus prime stuff as expected. and then you see bumblebee slowly start to come up to sam to say goodbye, after 4 years and 2 1/2 movies together, it started to get me. obviously we all knew they were coming back, even after starscream blew it up, but that goodbye stuff always gets me! "i hate goodbye!" -lloyd christmas, dumb and dumber.

That nobody has complained about Q/wheeljack, being based on Einstein (Jewish), and someone chose a Mercedes Benz (German manufacturer during WWII ) for his alt mode plus, he is murdered just for fun and defenseless, like many other inocent people on the gettos and camps.....

That is an extremely tenuous link...

I thought Ironhide's death was pretty sad, and the also the sheer scale of devastion in Chicago in terms of human casualties

So, those Jews that died in the camps where Germans just like Albert Einstein, he and them might have had a Jewish religious background, but they where still Germans. I think it's pretty disrespectful to them to think of them as not being Germans, because they where which is part of why their extermination was so horrible, a part of the population was destroyed just because of their religion or blood.

My saddest moments were as follows:

Ironhide's death
Starscream's death
Bumblebee not getting killed

I thought they were going to kill Bumblebee. I seriously had tears in my eyes at Transformers movie. And I'm pretty sure I was squeezing my fiancee's hand during that moment.

When Ironhide died, then when Que died, then Bumblebee looked all sad and was crying and he was about to get his head blown off. Then when Megatron died.

Wheeljack is my 2nd favourite Transformer but I honestly couldn't relate to the movie version because:

A) He wasn't named Wheeljack
B) Did not bear any resemblance to Wheeljack whatsoever
C) Was hardly in the movie

He did seem like a decent guy though and you could tell he really didn't want to die. Ironhide's death still bothers me though. That really sucked.

I though Bumblebee was a dead bot and I was prepared to burst out into tears. I was also very saddened that Sentinel Prime turned out to be the villain - I didn't see that one coming at all. Neither did Ironhide, I guess...I was also a little sad that Megatron looked so poorly. Were those scraplets that were crawling all over him?

Right after Q dies when BumbleBee holds his head and makes a sort of crying noise. That part actually felt sad.

I probably would have been a lot sadder about Sentinel Prime if I hadn't seen it coming as soon as I figured out that they cast Leonard Nimoy for his voice, aka Galvatron aka I assumed something was up from the beginning.

Of course I thought it was sad when Bumblebee was about to die, but really the saddest moment for me was when they just crushed Cybertron.

I actually got excited when the spacebridge went off the first time and part of Cybertron was left floating there, but then they totally annihalated it and :(

My sad moments:
Bumblebee did NOT die.
For one second, Optimus grabbed Sentinel's chest during the last battle and said "please".

The deaths of Ironhide and Que were kind of sad, but could've been a lot sadder if they'd have gotten a bit more screen time and character development.

The destruction of Chicago, combined with Linkin Park's new song, had a rather sad atmosphere around it as well.

Most of Optimus Prime's emotional output is pretty sad, based on the depressing situation he is in.

Still, Barricade dying was saddest for me. Because it's not happening immediatly in the foreground. You catch a glimpse of his POLICE door, and are like "Barricade!"
Then you slowly have to watch him get sniped in the eyes, shot while blind, and finally blown up.
Barricade should have lived.

Same with Megatron, he didn't get to do nothing.
It was almost like he was supposed to know Carly too...

Also... "An unknown planet called Earth.." Sentinel Prime and Megatron seemed to know.

When Ironhide was trecherously shot in the back by Sentinel Prime, that kind of move is what Decepticons are known for..,

when Que was brutally shot, it as if the robot was like an elderly person begging for mercy..

When Ironhide died; if the twins were in the movie their deaths would have been the saddest. Cranckcase's death was sad, just because he's one of my favorites.

Ironhide's death was rough and when Optimus was getting the crap beat out of him. I couldn't take his death when I was a kid and wasn't ready for him to die again. Also, does anyone see how Ironhide's death in DotM was somewhat reminiscent of how he died in the original cartoon movie.

The part where they made Megatron a sulking, emo wretch who actually tried to bargain with a crippled Optimus when he clearly had the advantage with his weapon and instead lets his guard down.

The whole scene at the shuttle launch site. Of course Bee standing there taping his leg, Sam on the ground balling out & then when the shuttle blew up Sam's face with tears coming down & his hands in the air frozen.

Ironhide's Death. The Shuttle Launch Scene and when Sam says goodbye to Bumblee and Optimus. Q's Death was really sad too.
