Would it work? When would be the best time for it? Why should they do it? Will it follow the footsteps of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer/Green Lantern and depict him as a giant dust cloud?

I want Unicron in a movie, SO BAD, BUT, it wouldn't fit in the Bay-verse of the movies. Unless, they establish a off earth continuity and deal with humans NOT trusting the Bots and wanting them at all on Earth.
THEN, we can get something more along the lines of the TF I've been waiting for.

I thought shockwaves pet worm (driller) was unicron when i first saw the advert for DOTM. If he was in it dose that mean primus would have to be aswell? And how would the storyline go? If he was in the live action films he is enormas and putting all that detail in would take ages.
Overall i would love to see him in transformers 4.......i saw that in empire magazine that it is proberly going to happen (not including unicron)

I say don't do it unless it serves the story well. I think we're starting to delve into Star Trek territory as far as how fans feel about the direction of the new films. It's okay to incorporate a little bit from the mythology (certain races, gadgets, technology, characters of course) but to just re-make Wrath of Khan or even use the basic elements from that story for the upcoming Star Trek sequel would be boring. If they used Unicron I would fear they would just be making a live-action version of the '86 movie which again would be extremely boring. Why not come up with something original for the Transformers to do? If they can use the character and do something different that would be cool. I've stated before how I want to see Transformers 4 head into space and have a more sci-fi/galactic feel to it which would serve Unicron's character well. But I think he really has to be a HUGE threat (no pun intended) to really mean something. Who knows- maybe they'll think of something original kinda how they're leaning with Star Trek 2.

I agree it should be set in space more but they should take some humans with them like sam and his girlfriend (carnt remember her name) and maybe that special ops team aswell
I want it to go more into the myth and legends of there race but not to much that it gose away from the story line. I carnt think of anything else they can do if a 4th one is made apart frome having unicron in it.

Optimus: "It will be too dangerous, I'm afraid you'll have to stay here on Earth. This is our fight."
Human: "You don't have to do it alone, we can fight with you in space."
Optimus: "No, you haven't the technology to endure its rigors, it would be a waste of lives. You stay here."
Human: "But look, we've developed these advanced space-suits that will allow us to travel with you and fight Unicron."
Optimus: (Stares at the suits angrily then steps on them) "Oops, my bad."

This is why I've always hated the humans being the main focus of the movies. There are so many places the story could go, but the humans hold it back. Humans can't infinently breath in space, or do half the things the Transformers can. Then Bay thinks that the Humans should be able to fight the TFs, this stretches my disbelief too far. Granted, I can't stand watching G1, (Too cheesy, and the lazy animation is just too distracting) but at least that series knew this wasn't the humans' war.

Hi guy's new to the forums. The next three movies if they do them, they should do what they did with Lord of the rings or with star wars movies and have them all lead up the final battle with Unicron.

Problem with all this is this: UNICRON
If they couldnt put omega supreme in like they were supposed too, I highly doubt unicron is even within the power of CGI To take less than a year just to render!

I think if they did another 3 movies the first one wouldn't have too have Unicron in it. Have a scene similar to ROTF where one of the cons is scared or something mentioning preparing for Unicrons arrival or something like that.
And put him in the very end of the second one showing only a little of him. The third one.... put him in that one. IF they take the usual 1.5 - 2 yrs between films, hopefully it would be updated / enough time to do so.

Considering they dumped Megatron in the ocean and that didn't work...perhaps they send the destroyed Decepticons out into space to float around forever. Unicron comes lumbering out of wherever and bring Megatron back as GALVATRON. I'd love to see Scourge and Cyclonus in movie form.
Maybe it sounds better in my head.
But yeah, i'd love to see Unicron. Considering these movies rake in the green I can see them going abit farther with the next one.

Would it work? Well, maybe but not without plenty of buildup. The suggestion of building up three movies to that fight'd be a good idea.
Personally, I'd go with a totally different approach and have him be average sized to fit with the movieverse legend that Primus was the first TransFormer. Eventually he could link up with some sort of planet base and go giant mode, but I'd have his normal size be that of a regular TransFormer. Following that, I'd have Galvatron as the son of Megatron, just because. A second resurrection would be bad anyways.

Please, Bay barely gives any screen time to the characters he currently uses unless Sam is involved. Why on earth would devote a whole movie to Unicron? Unicron is out his Bays depth,....he's too much for Bay. He knows nothing about Unicron period.

I've got it...
4th movie... has it's own plot, but an epic line of Unicron's return to Cybertron at the end
5th movie - Galvatron, Scourge, Cyclonus, etc.. come to prepare the way for Unicron
6th movie - Unicron arrives
