This is the topic about Sam.

In the first movie, he bought a car and turned out to be an alien robot. He only wanted to get the girl and only wanted to hook his car away from the last battle until Lennox forced him to deliver the Allspark. Brave/stupid enough not to give the Allspark to Megatron and luckily killed him. At the end, all he wanted was to keep the car since he got the girl.

In the second movie, he wanted a normal life since he was a normal kid. He wanted to get rid of any robots including his car and not offering any help to Optimus when Optimus asked. Then only thought he should bring Optimus back to live because he felt guilty about Optimus sacrificing himself to save him despite he didn't help Optimus previously. Then he bravely/stupidly ran to Optimus without any covering and ended up getting himself killed.

In the third movie, he dumped his first girl but kept her dog and robot pet. Then he moved in with a new girl and used her money for lunch. Only when he couldn't find a job, he claimed he saved everybody's life twice and he should be automatically hired by NEST to work with Autobots (for what I don't know) so he could keep his car at the same time. Later he thought he has the burden to save the world again and bravely/stupidly drove into destroyed Chicago to save the girl first.

Yeah, what a man. When he didn't want, he avoided and tried to get rid of them. Then when he couldn't get anything by his own besides a bunny leg, he believed he deserved all the credits and things should grant to him without question. Simmons is right, "The man's an extortionist".

I think Sam is by-far the most selfish human in the TF franchise... but he's not the most annoying (that reward goes to Daniel).

In the first movie he was insistent upon getting Bumblebee to the cube because he knew what to do with it. He didn't back away or try to get away from the battle. At the end of the first film, Bumblebee offered to stay with Sam. Prime and Sam granted him permission to do so.

In the third film it was stated a couple of times that Mikaela dumped him. The lunch money part is kind of funny, though. While I know Sam was looking for a job, good for him finding a temporary sugar momma.

haha I love that line and I agree sam is just plain selfish!

I though by the end of the second movie he had realized his place with the Autobots.

But yes his change of attitude from the second to the third is great.

Also, Where did you get your signature? Or did you make it?

The thing is, Mearing is right, Sam is a messenger. The Hollywood hero actions part, especially in the third movie, isn't really necessary on him just like Jack Ryan didn't need to go into the field in Clear and Present Danger. And I don't think he will be that role anymore if he stays with the Autobots. He needs to be outside of the circle so he can encounter all these things.

I saw it from a eBay seller and then traced the links he used to a site and found many of them (Starscream, OP, Jazz, insignias). Can't remember the site nor the seller but I have them stored in my hard drive at home. If you want I can send them to you.

I think Sam grew a lot from film to film. I think it would be cool to see him eventually join NEST.

Did Daniel spend half his time in franchise screaming "Optimus" and "bumble-bee"?

I liked Sam in the first movie, but by the third movie, the only thing that was going through my head when I was watching it was, "Man, this guy is a major douchebag."
