For those that don't know, I live fairly close to Toronto. A local radio station, most likely the best on the planet, was giving away Transformers Movie advanced preview tickets for the 28th along with a slew of other great prizes (Tool, Muse, Steelback Grand Prix Tix).

The contest that faithful day was called "Wha' happend?" It's where contestents call in and tell crude and often hilarious stories to win said prizes. I've been trying to get on this contest for the better part of two years now, and I finally got through! I prolly shouldn't go over the story as it's not exactally readable for our younger members, but it does involve an old trunk lady and my big toe.

So, my question to you all is this. Has anyone won or received and movie premiere passes yet?

I have. Won them through a Telstra Promotion, by buying the TF mobile game. We get to see the pre screening on the 27th.

One of my employees works for Paramount promotions and got me into an advance screening. I don't need tickets, I get a bracelet and I'm on "the list."

...You guys are really making me want to slag you.

im still waiting to see if they will honor the ones from the Rise of the Chevy Autobots top 2000. worst comes to worst, I will pay for all of the numerous times I go.

Well not only did I win tickets to the special advance screening that played in Sydney a couple of weeks ago, I'll be seeing the advance screening on the 27th in Maroochydore with 9 people of my choosing.

So overall I've won 12 tickets, and I've only actually entered one competition and it was one entry too. My Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory moment. The other 10 I scored because of being a journo and knowing people in the radio business who were giving them away.

Our marketing guy has a good relationship with the marketing guy over at the Washington Examiner, which just happens to be the daily paper that's sponsoring the early screening here on Thursday.

When I got the admission pass in my hand, I felt almost like I imagine I would feel if I'd hit the lottery. Stuff like this never happens to me. You know, except this once.

I won a advance screening ticket at a forum contest. The first 36 persons who PM'ed a moderator with correct quiz question anwsers won a ticket. Funny thing is that less than 36 persons participated in the contest. I recieved my ticket and I'm gonna watch it tonight in Amsterdam.
