It is no secret by now that advertising for the Transformers Movie is every where. You can find all kinds of products marketing the movie. Now normally cake does not make the news, but Wal-Mart is offering one that does now. Wal-Mart will be offering Transformers Movie themed birthday cakes. These cakes will come with Transforming movie Optimus Prime. The news here is it is different from all the versions we have seen. ---The Rat of Allspark.com posted an image of the cake and Prime here.

Hm, this would be a great way to celebrate the TF movie opening night.
Getting a transforming cake is awesome. Unfortunately, it's alt mode is crap.
Pun totally intended.

Yeah the flames ruin it for me. Not because of G1 loyalty, but because red icing invariably tastes like pure death.

This looks like a photo of one of those cake catalogues you see at your local Shop Rite or whatever. I'd imagine this style of cake will be available for around a year or so. I think what you do is go to the bakery in advance, ask for the cake, they either have the mini figure in stock or have to order it from a central storehouse, and then they ice the cake themselves. Yay.

Out of all the stupid over-the-top merchandising attempts we've seen so far... this one takes the cake.
(thank you, thank you, I'm here 'til Tuesday. Try the fish.)

Cake. Well, I never thought they would put out cake. I remember from childhood that they would just slap figures on the cake & call it a Power Rangers cake. No fancy design or anything. It's my brother's B-Day 2 weeks after the movie comes out. He's good for something!

You could get it to celebrate the movie coming out, or for the 4th of July. Its themed in those colors

... There isn't a Walmart with a bakery anywhere near me, I don't know anyone who has a Sam's Club card. Can we keep an eye out to see if this turns up at like some grocery store somewhere?
I'm hoping for more pics of this Prime.
