Its going to make serious bank and spawn sequels for year to come.
Here's the deal.
My best friend is a spider-man nut. Serious. Guy is pretty well off and he spends all xtra money on Spidey stuff. He refinanced his house to buy a comic once. 15,000$. He is beyond dedicated and knows everything about Spidey.
He loves his classic Spidey and stands firm on that.
BUT...
He accepts and enjoys the films. He is able to understand that the film version of his fav character is not his fav character.
does that make sense?
Folks that dont get that, strike me as simpletons w/o a chance in this world.
You dont have to give up what you love and enjoy.. but understand that this is just someone else's view.
If you think you can do a better job, then do it and stop **** complaining.
got it?
good.

most people feel that way. it's all you danged movie freaks that blow everything out of perportion. i feel like you'r spidey friend, but everytime i speak my mind i get trashed for the viewpoints. let's just say, alot of us that are a bit older have seen alot of things come and go, and alot of things ruined by too many sequels or the synergy of extreme mass marketing.
