I recently was watching an episode of Armada, and I stumbled across something a bit odd.

I found a video wich streamlines the scene a bit, so go to 4:47 and watch from there. You think this was the direction the movies were headed? Minicons, spawned for some awesome plot that never came to be?
Thoughts?

Are you relating the Mini-Cons to the hatchlings? Because I'm pretty sure those were just baby TFs..

It's the way everything's set up. The Fallen would have made a good herald of Unicron, and bringing Unicron in as Megatron's master plan would have been cool, and those "Hatchlings" in ROTF seem to be set up the same way these minicons are.
