Michael Bay Portrayed in the Movie

Did you know that Michael Bay will be in the Transformers Movie? Well, it won't actually be Bay himself, but somebody will be mimicing his character. Syfy Portal recently spoke with with John Turturro and discovered some interesting information about Turturro’s character, Agent Simmons, who is the head of a top secret military unit called Sector 7.

Turturro told SciFi Wire that he based his performance as a preening government agent in the movie after Bay. "It was mostly Jon Voight's ideas translated from my body," Turturro claimed about his co-star. "Michael Bay was a little bit of an inspiration I would say."

"Michael likes to improvise a little bit," Turturro explained. "Everyone got a chance to do that in certain situations but he encouraged me to improvise and do different things. He's very child-like himself and had a good sense of humor and a lot of energy so I kept looking at him and thinking, I should do it more like Michael Bay -- at least a little bit. I'd tell him sometimes, 'I was doing you.' He's such a narcissist that he was just seeing me through (him). So it's OK."

I think "childlike" is the nice version of "this man's a retard".

That might be your own personal bias getting in the way. At first I read it as "prone to tantrums," but when you read the whole quote, (and I hate it when people pick and choose only the parts of a quote that support their own thesis), I took it that he has a lot of wonder and enthusiasm. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm going on thirty and still have that childlike sense of wonder at the world. I still go to the toy aisles at Wal-Mart for love's sake! There's nothing wrong with keeping that part of you that isn't jaded by life and still likes to have fun. It makes you a better person and more vibrant in the long run.

EDIT: I knew it. When I read Turtorro's description of him, certain qualities sounded familiar. I looked up Bay's birthdate and sure enough, he is a Snake, just like me. That's where the childlike nature, narcissism, and no bulls**t work ethic comes from.

No, he's the head agent of Sector Se7en, and he's the worst thing in the movie. Far too goofy. Other than him, the film is awesome :)

People read too deeply into things, especially what they want to read. Too bad for them, 9 times out of 10, what they "read" isn't anywhere to be found.

Whether it's irrational hatred, fanboyism, or any "ism" for that matter, it always pushes a person to be their absolute worst.

Then they wonder why the rest of their fellow fans and friends sit back and say "...you're an idiot."

Have you notice one other thing? All these people who read too deeply, etc...have stinkfinger? Yeah, it's due to their incurable "Pulled it out of my ass" syndrome. You'd think they'd wash their hands afterwards. Hell, we need to bleach our brains after reading the crap they come up with.
