Seeing as how stumbling across that spoiler really dulled DOTM's impact for me...good call Michael. Perhaps his most sound TF decision yet.

Of course, IDW might just do one the following year. They did "Wrath of Khan" 2 decades later, so why not?

Does that mean there will be no book adaptation either?

Possibly. But I see no immediate release a little bit before or during the film's release.

How could there be a script leak? He makes these up as he goes along.

This happened with both the 2nd and 3rd movies and they both turned out to be fake. No way this is real.

Well, there is not much for me to say, other than how much I prefer Prime accepting Meg's truce than rejecting it. :-(

HALLELUJAH!!! That picture of Sentinel killing Ironhidealso somewhat lowered my expectations of the movie. (And my surprise.)Then again Transformers (2007) was the ONLY time I didn't get spoiled beforehand for a TF movie.

How about they just spare us all the pain and skip making the whole film? I'd rather read a poopy story in comic book form then waste another 2 hours watching Bay's TF-garbage.

Movie making is big bucks. Doesn't matter if you're a fan of Bay's Transformers or not: people who want to see big :michaelbay: 's will pay for it.

Did someone force you to watch Bay's TF films?

No-one's gonna force you to watch it. You can skip it. As for myself, all I can say is that when it comes out, I'll race to the cinema. No matter how bad it might be.

Director Michael Bay's official facebook page was just updated with his previously released response in regards to the TF4 script leak. The comment itself isn't new, but it came with a new TF4 movie poster. As you can see in the image mirrored below the poster features Optimus Prime in the background with a group of onlookers in the foreground. Whether this image was just thrown together to accompany the facebook update, or it actually factors into the plot of TF4 is of course unknown.

Some Internet sites reported that some document recovery guy has found a legitimate 120 page script of Transformers 4. I can absolutely 100 percent say this is completely false. The only two people in the world that have our unfinished script are Kruger and myself. Also we are only up to page 70 in our T4 script. Maybe this guy has a cartoon or something else – but definitely not our movie!

Meh...when I heard "reboot" I kinda hoped it would include not having the Transformers be metal alien monsters with weird faces.

Not saying I disagree about the faces, but technically they only look "weird" and "monster-like" to us becuase they are aliens. What's natural to them may look foreign and abnormal to us, and vice versa. These faces are just more "different" than the usual "metal Earth human-like faces" we're so accustomed to seeing.

Yes, I understand. They're also robots. Would it be so far fetched for them to look more like robots and not phallic-y monsters that drool (for some reason)?

And, again, they're "alien" robots. We Earthlings have our visions of what robots tends to look like, so it's likely that those of other planets have their own visualization for robotic design.

Why must something not originally from the Planet Earth resemble a design that is easily recognized as originating from the Planet Earth? ;)

I mean, realistically speaking, extraterrestrial lifeforms originating from locations far off away from the Earth wouldn't be surprising to appear in forms beyond our typical comprehension and comfort zones of how aliens should look. :-B

And these movies try to go for such an approach. Yet, there are still very obvious design cues that still stem from Earthly designs due to the natural limitations of the human imagination when trying to draw away from the familiar and into the unknown. ;)

And I'm saying they're Transformers. If I want an outside of the box ET film, I'll watch Prometheus again (but I won't). Transformers should look like transformers, tmnt should look like turtles, thundercats should look...well you get it. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying fans might have enjoyed the characters more if they were recognizable as robots, not monsters.

>> Limited imagination

>> Macross and a whole ton of mecha have limited imagination.

Giant robots that strain your eyes as they fold away into a million cgi effects making no logical sense. I mean this is a new low for being a Bay apologist. Bay did not shy away from anthropomorphization when he gave Devastator balls, Bumblebee peeing, or made Jetfire fart. I guess those scenes were due to his limited imagination. (see what I did there)

I am a fan of classic mech design. Anywhere from UC Gundam, Macross, Transformers, and so on. This whole post is disses to every single giant robot or scifi series that has ever been made. I mean Star Trek had countless humanoid alien species.

I really do hope Pacific Rim smashes Transformers 4 at the box office. Like we need this again. We don't. We also get that Americans are rejecting the designs as DotM did not sell very well. It was a novel idea having your insides become your outsides for a Transformer at the time. Now, it is just grating.
