Who likes this new continuity?

Both leaders are truly alien, looking completely foreign in their Cybertronian form and still looking alien even on Earth (the other Transformers come to mind).
I like how they are capable of travelling through space via comet mode of in Megatron's case, jet mode.
What I don't understand is why they are so shy when it comes to showing their protoforms (at least with the Autobots - you barely see them). The humans discovered who they were soon enough. "Disguise" is a decent reason I suppose, but I'm quibbling about making the Transformers even more alien.
