It seemed to me to be a piece of the Allspark. Maybe there will be a way to bring back Jazz from the dead? What about that two transformers that were created, the car one (with the steering wheel from hell) and the Mountain dew robot?
Any ideas if those two transformers could be pacified and made into Autobots with Ratchets help? Are we to assume that all transformers start off acting bezerk when they are first created with the Allspark? Do you think in future sequels we'll meet the alien race or inventor of the Allspark?
speculate away...

did jazz have to die really? I mean, they could've just not said anything about his death and just say that ratchet was going to repair him. And speaking of Ratchet, he's gotta be the worst medic ever. I mean he can't even repair BB's voice box ( I know why, but still). I would love to see that piece of Allspark revive Jazz, he definately was an underused character that I believe had great potential.

All of the transformers were under-used! The movie needed more robot conversations and a greater depth of character. Was it just me or were you not as attatched to the robot characters when the movie was over?

Yeah, I felt the same way. There was not much depth given to the character's personalities, so there was no way to connect with them. I hope the writers meant to use this movie as an introduction to the characters and develope the character personalties in the next movie. Megatron for example, he may be evil, but we all loved laughing at him while he made his vicarious assumptions. Come on let him talk a little, live a little; that's what I hope to see in the next movie.
Another thing I thought needed improvement was Prime's character, he was so stoic about Jazz's death. I'll buy anything Prime says while he's saying it, but if you're going to kill Autobots show the others seriously mourn their death. This is a point where I refuse to believe that Transformers is merely a toy line. They are more than meets the eye.

I edited the title for those that have yet to see the movie.

I don't think Ratchet was a bad medic, he probably didn't have enough time to treat BB or just didn't have the parts to do so and had to make do with what he had.
As for Prime's reaction to Jazz's demise, I don't think robots react the same way people do. You didn't see the autobots bawling when Prime died in th original movie, did you?

Yeah, you did actually. And I suppose that's always been part of the appeal for me: They're just as human as we are.

Ratchet was a lousy medic. Beleive me, it hurts to say that because I love Ratchet, always have. I mean first, he's shooting a laser into Bumblbee's neck from like 20 feet away in some effort to tweak his voice processor, seeming to catch Bumblebee off guard. Didn't look like it felt too good. That'd piss me off too. "Hey how about a heads up before you shoot my neck next time pal, ok?". Then, later on when BB has HAD HIS FRIGGING LEGS BLOWN OFF and Sam's screaming for him to come help...he's nowhere to be found! And to add a little insult to injury, Jazz is just sitting there staring at sad legless BB in car mode not doing a danged thing! Sam had to shove his hood and tell him to back up. What the hell was that?? There were too many points where characters just seemed...out of character, or in the way, or just over all underdeveloped. I also agree that I wasn't feeling nearly as much for the bots as I'd hoped. I didn't feel much attachment to them at all. Hell I was more sad about not feeling anything about Jazz being dead than the fact that Jazz was dead. I mean it sucked, Jazz seemed cool and he did that break dance transforming thing, but he wasn't flushed out enough. And when it comes to the main bot-human relationship of BB and Sam, dangit writers, I want something that chokes me up like the Iron Giant did! ...not that I got choked up over Iron Giant, I was just uh, citing an example.

I didn't see the Autobots cry during the first film. I saw Daniel cry while the autobots surrounded Prime's body. Sure they seemed to have a slightly lower morale but hardly human-like.

I was hoping that Prime's attempt to destroy the Allspark by merging it with his spark was going to make the Matrix of leadership instead of killing him. I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, we'll see something along those lines in the sequel. Or at least them using that shard to create new TF's, Autobots and Decepticons alike. Oh, and Frenzy was awesome.

i dont get why you all are so upset over how prime didnt get so upset over jazz's death. yes, he died, but there has been war on cybertron for years and years before this. so many other autobots died there and they cant really take the time to mourn every single bot, and they dont try and save every single bot either.
on another note. they will probly use that piece of the spark from megatron's chest in the sequel. it has got to be an important part or else why would prime take it?

No they weren't balling cause they can't cry, but the expression on their faces were pretty grim. That movie was made for people and the whole scene was meant to elicit an emotional reaction. First, Hot Rod says, "Prime, Forgive Me!" I mean the dude is pretty sorry. Perceptor's diagnosis "I fear...the wounds...are fatal.." The only thing that keeps the characters from totally breaking down was the MAtrix that for all us us just comes out of nowhere and the Autobot's attention is turned to this passing of leadership. Then you have Daniel crying his eyes out surprise, surprise!
I done mean that they should have some kind of cermonie every time a character dies, but show me a little concern, a little connection from the Autobots. Looking deeper into those scenes you used to critique my point should be enough to convice you that Transformers is capable of depth. But Prime holding Jazz...Jazz's half torn body like that, he might as well been holding a toaster and said the same thing and I just don't like TF's being treated like toasters. Yeah have fun, and it was fun, Prime stole the show, but get serious too!
