in the first trailer we saw..and in the movie, they talk about the mars rover thing. the transformers are from cybertron..not mars, so why are they on mars when the rover lands?

If you read the prequal comic, you would know that the robots on Mars was Starscream and the Decepticons heading towards Earth.

We've already seen Transformers on ice so Transformers on mars shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Yeah, which is all the more surprising since they said the weren't going to do that.
