Can the Haters Please Just Stick to One Thread?

We get it...you hate it, you're the 'true fans' and bay has ruined TF's and your childhood's forever.

But can't you keep all these posts in one thread, they seem to be popping up faster than weeds in my lawn.

I mean if we have to keep our reviews to one thread, you should keep your anti-reviews to one thread as well!

So that all threads but one should be filled with praise? I'm not sure if I agree with that: freedom of opinion.

Lol. I think that's the best solution.
If people like me who thought it blew ass have to get stuck in one thread, the hip-thrusters need to be silenced the same way.

God, I love when people try to shut others up who have well thought out, coherently explainable opinions... but just not their own.

Y'know, I can see Obi Wan's point. As I've said before, I think everyone has a right to their own opinion. But we DO have review threads and such to discuss the pros and cons of the movie. I think it's a little ridiculous that every movie related thread I've opened in the last 24 hours, no matter what the original poster's trying to talk about, has at least one person coming in and making a snide remark about how much they hated the movie. And these aren't threads about like/dislike the movie, they're asking about characters and sequences and the like.

Though one thread to argue the pros and cons of the movie would be helpful, because the discussion seems to be the same, on both sides, in EVERY thread.

Eh, I don't really mind reading criticism, as long as it is coherent and and has a reasonable basis. "This movie sucks 'cause it ain't the same as the cartoon" needn't be repeated endlessly, but people do have a right to put their peeves out there.

Please, though, people, don't make asses of yourselves when you do!

I think one thread for positive reviews, and one for negative reviews wouldn't be a bad idea.

Each poster could post in peace without having one hell of a fight, which ends in closed threads, and it would allow the other members of the board to form their own opinion from reading both sides, in depth.

It would be a lot easier than trying to reread everyone's quotes and figure out what's positive and what's negative.

The true fans are the ones who hate the movie, because the most important part of being a fan of anything is complaining.

The rest of us are just posers.

I almost spit water all over my PC. Don't make me laugh when I'm drinking, and it's true...

Personally, I'm not drawing the "You're not a fan if..." card. But I still wonder how one can be a fan and not begrudge the tremendous ammount of missed potential here.

IMO, I think it's really stupid for someone to say that someone else is not a "true fan" if they enjoyed the movie. It's all opinion, there's no right or wrong.
Reminds me of back on 2003 in BSG fandom when the remake came out. Back then people were saying that if you liked the remake, you were not a true fan.

This true fan - false fan thing is bullsh**, especially if you are deceiding upon the thing if the fan liked this new TF universe or not.

I know people who became TF fans because they saw TF: Energon on CN, and people who first saw Beast Wars from the transformers, and knew the multiverse through those universes. I think there will be fans who learn about TFs through the movie, so they are starting as "false fans"?
Again, for those who prey about "I don't like the movie, Bay wrecked my childhood, but I'm a true fan", shut this "true fan" thing.
There's freedom to write in whatever forum you want, this topic is useless as it is, but please stop this "I'm a true fan, because I think the movie sucks".

that the idea of a forum, people with different opinions.
you don't like, get the f out.
besides, now everyone has seen the movie, and let me tell you, from a completely objective perspective, the movie had some real issues.

some people are just perfectly content with mediocrity?
we're all fans, whether we like the movie or not.. this isn't a presidential election.. and the winner of the most votes wins..

I think that both sides need to calm down and think about things reasonably.

There's no reason for some people I've seen to go into a thread and turn it into a bitching war between both sides.

But there's also no reason for the fans of the movie to be making threads like this, and making it sound like having a different opinion is not allowed.

Overall, the "haters" have to realize that this thing isn't going away, and that they don't have to fill every single thread with unnecessarily harsh or negative comments; while the "lovers" have to realize that the haters aren't going away, accept that, and also realize that not every hater of the movie is a rabid fanboy who won't accept change(maybe the movie just doesn't appeal to them).

Most of all, though; both sides need to make reasonable, civil arguments for their position and stop with all the snide personal attacks.

Though I seriously doubt any of that will happen.

I also concur.
in the mean time, the movie made me realize how much I really appreciate the stories and character development in the comic books. Transformers is not entertaining without the strong personalities and the resulting motivations.
