All-Spark + Earth = Evil Robots?

Alright, I don't know if this has been addressed, but what was it about the All-Spark that caused any and all Earth technology to be transformed into evil robots?

Is this explained somewhere? Why would the source of all Transformers power be so tainted and corrupted that it would convert any and all Earth tech into aggressive, killing robots?

Case in point--the Nokia phone, the X-Box 360, even the Mountain Dew soda machine.

Word.

It could be the proximity of Megatron to the Allspark in all those circumstances that caused those robots to go bad.

It is more visually appealing to have machines turn into mindless killing machines and to have them turn into crossing guards that would give you a back rub and rescue kittens out of trees.

That nokia was awesome!! Mini-gatling cannons! Hillarious!

"The energizer bunny from hell!!!"

Actually, it was most likely because all of the technology that was transformed by the Allspark was made with reverse-engineered Megatron tech.

I think the allspark created the
new Transformer and gave it the
personalities ask of it.
Much like when the stunticons and
arielbots were created.

i always thought that the transformers, like humans, have the choice of being good or evil...not that they are just born that way...

megatron ruled along side prime on cybertron and then later on turned evil..

those bots werent evil because of megatron in the area, or because of anything being reverse engineered from him...those robots woke up in an alien world....

nokia-bot...was awoken in a cell..surrounded by gigantic alien beings...what would you do?

the escalade was awoken with aliens INSIDE of him...

the xbox woke up with an alien carrying him...

the mountain dew machine woke up rigt in the middle of a battle...

imo those bots were just acting upon natural instincts....like any other animal in captivity would..

Y'know, it would have been awesome if the Allspark nailed a traffic light and created Signal Lancer.

Maybe the Allspark did affect more things, but the "good" ones didn't transform right away? After all, the toy Longarm's alt mode is the tow truck Bumblebee was on.

I quite like the "natural instincts" idea Bottom Out.

Its the only decent theory I have yet read that does not have hundreds of holes in it.

Still I would like to know why the Allspark creates all these bots with so many weapons, its not like they are born with 1 weapon and then continually upgrade them themselves, that Nokiabot had about half a dozen weapons from the get go.

Preprogrammed instincts. Gotta be. Any tech derived from a Decepticon is gonna have their homicidal tendencies.

Not to mention the fact that this would explain why most if not all machines hate me...

i agree with you on alot, but how would the autobots be sentient beings if they were programmed from the get go with an arse load of weapons and a mind full of destruction?

If that was at all possible, do you think the guys in charge of the Allspark on Cybertron would knowingly allow mechanoids to be built? Obviously they had someone there to program knowledge into these newly formed creatures.

Well, in the absence of any actual information, we're pretty much just making it up as we go along. And something tells me that's exactly what the writers wanted us to do.

I got a theory, how bout the writers F'd up and just put some stuff in the script for eye candy and said to hell with explaining it just like the editors forgot to deal with Barricade or Scorpinok but remembered to show Starscream. I think it is just poor plot and attention to detail.

While I agree that the last twenty minutes of the film was edited poorly, I wouldn't go so far as to say that.

I know. I don't agree, but I can accept that you would say that.

Not only that, but at Botcon, during one of the panels with the writers (I think it was the second panel, but I could be wrong), they said that this is in fact the correct reason.

Case closed.
