i have the running total so far in the "transformers made 38 million in two days" Thread broken down by hours.. I had totaly posted numbers that were correct earlier but the rentrack program that most movie theater places use to track movies worked a little differently then i thought, i didn't realize you divide by location so that totaly messed up my numbers..

i am sorry about that as i don't like messing up when it comes to things like this .. right now for the day, the movie total gross is 17,644,429 as of 1:20 est.. there are still more locations to report in.

that is the correct and accurate number from the tracking program.. again, i am sorry for the mix up....

Holyshit. So based on your numbers what do you predict the total gross will be after today?

Adding up your numbers from the other thread we had reached 123 million and some change Just with the 4PM totals. That is just insanely good.

With only 35 million by end of 7/3, I am not sure how you get another 100 million on 7/4 here in the states. However, if your factoring in international, then I get your 75+ mil total. I actually think that the numbers are going to be much lower for film. By estimates, I would say that the 3 day release will be somewhere around 85 million USA, which is extremely good. The final numbers will role in around 250 total, but with dvd's, merchandise, and other sales, TF will bring a nice reward for everyone involved.

As far as the second having a major budget increase, I would like to know if GM, Microsoft, or anyother companies paid ad fees for the movie. If they did, then they may continue to support depending on return of investment. So, you could see an increase or stagnation of the budget for TF2.

my numbers come from rentrack.. it has daily, hourly grosses and such. i will check at the end of the night just to make sure... and give the final numbers when they are reported tonight...

though i could be doing the hourly grosses wrong but that is what i am seeing under each time through all the locations.

I think it will end up doing 275 million by the end of it all. That was my guess a month ago and Im sticking to it.

It was a damn good movie and I am rooting for it to take down Titanic. Fat chance though :P

Rentrack is a paid software or is there away to view the statistics? If not, can you keep this thread going with a total? The information you are providing is like watching sports and getting the scores, and man are we winning!

Here are the totals for end of day Tuesday, world wide (technically Monday doesn't count as a day, so this is considered Day 1):

Total US Gross $36,251,025
International Gross $34,700,000
Worldwide Gross $70,951,025

rentrack is paid i believe as i never saw it on the market. i can get all the accurate numbers you need.. now that i see what mistakes i made in getting the grosses....it is the main program used by everyone...

Saw it last night and plan on seeing it at least twice more during the theater run, plus the obligatory purchase of 1 or 2 DVDs on release day...

I went with a group of friends but one and his girlfriend had to sit it out as it sold out. Saw it today (July 4th) at 12:30 PM, wasn't sure if it was going to be pack or not being in the day but same time being the 4th so... In anycase told my friend I go see it with him again this weekend if he wanted to so hopefully I'll go again then :D.
