Anyone have any ideas for storylines in TF 2 or explanations for new characters? Here's mine:
Dinobot origin: Autobots scattered throughout the galaxy respond to Prime's call and come to earth and crashland into a museum. They scan the bones of dinosaurs and viola, Dinobots!

You know what would be GREAT in that scene?? If Optimus were there and right before leaving looked into a Jungle exhibit at a Gorilla and just sort of cocked his head to the side, then they all just left.

that might go over the heads of non-Beast Wars fans but still a clever scene idea

I just want Arcee, and like movie goers really care about a gender explanation. I saw the movie three times already and everytime I left the theatres I overheard so many women asking where was the girl Transformer.

They gotta do some kinda nod to Beast Wars fan's, even if it's just Grimlock mentioning a fight with Magmatron XD
(Which is of course the worst link possible to Beast Wars)

Well they obviously need to set up a base somewhere or start building a ship to try and get back to Cybertron.
I agree that the dinobots should be introduced. They are some of the most popular Transformers characters ever.
With that said, I guess you might need the Constructicons
Definitely less human on-screen time...now that we've met everyone.
The Aerialbots are a realistic option
Let me do some more thinking................

I guess Prime might die in the next movie and we can be introduced to Ultra Magnus and Hot Rod (Please don't let them be whiney babies

)
They could introduce Unicron and have the 2nd movie end with them goin' into battle and leave you hanging to see it until the 3rd movie
Yes, Arcee should definitely be there
If they don't get to go back to Cybertron, at least show flashbacks of what it looked like before it got trashed

Why go back to cybertron? It's dead.

NO!!! No Prime Dying. No Unicron.
And for the love of Primus, NO HOT ROD!!!
I do agree however that Magnus should be introduced, but as a friend of Prime's, without either dying. Arcee would be a cool new character. I like the idea of flashbacks too.

I dunno...maybe they can discover that they can merge the shard left over from the cube with some other energy and re-build. keep an open mind

If they did something different with Unicron, like have him a large robot, just not planet large. He may work. But I'm with you, no Unicron.

Quote from Movie Addaptation#4. I live in England so I havn't seen the movie yet so correct me if I'm wrong.
Prime to other autobots in space (his ending monologue):
And date has yeilded it's reward, A new planet to call home. [blah blah blah]
As I see it, they wont go back to Cybertron but will instead rebuild the TF race on earth together with the humans... EEEEEEEEWWWWWW, cliché >.<

My ideas:
1: The power of the Allspark rebuilds the dead Megatron into Galvatron.
2: Starscream returns to Earth with a Decepticon attack force, including Soundwave and Shockwave.
3. It is learned that the creator of the Allspark is Unicron.

I definitly think in the sequel they should show flashbacks regarding the beginnings of the TF race showing them as robot slaves of the quintessons as well as the creation of Orion Pax by Alpha Trion.

Hrrm, that would be better, but I'm still totally anti Unicron. He's an overused gimmick to build a basic story, centred around the hero's joining forced to defeat an enemy much more powerful than them. ~mimics throwing up~ It worked in the 80's movie, it barely worked in the Unicron Trilogy, It will not work in another movie.

How about this partial idea:
It's two years since TF1 ended. In TF2 we find the transformers living in the desert away from the prying eyes of society. They spend most of their time continuing to learn about their new home on earth as well as the human species, always with the hope of being contacted by surviving autobots. They are visited often by Sam and Mikaela but this does not ease the autobots suspicions about the possibility of surviving decepticons mounting an attack again on earth. We see a vast ocean, the one where the remains of Megatron we buried. The camera plunges deep into the sea and we can see the ruins of the once feirce leader of the decepticons rusted and overgrown with barnacles. However, as we get closer, we can see a slight glow coming from the gash in megatron's chest where sam thrusted the allspark. What Optimus doesnt know is that the shard that he plucked out of Megatron's chest at the end of TF1 was not the only shard left embedded. A tiny peice of the allspark remained, and it has been regenerating itself slowly, and with it, the rebirth of Megatron as well.

So far as I knew, they COULD go home. (Protform rocket modes) But everyone else left already. (Autobots seeking refuge amongst the stars.) Not to mention a dead planet. Prime also probably realizes that Starscream will come back to Earth. Those stupid little bags o' water broke his ego.
I have no problem with Uni as a planet, or even a moon. He's just been overdone and needs to wait until movie 5 to come about
Tht's cool mike, except bythen we'd have to explain why the Sectretary was wrong, and Megatron wasn't crushed smaller than a mushroom can...

I can see it now:
Ratchet steals life-size animatronic dinosaurs from a museum exhibit, and uses energy from the piece of Allspark to turn them into TFs...

No... Not at all. Starscream should leave as we saw watching the credits... and come back with more I.E. Shockwave, Soundwave, The Constructicons.
Barricade is still alive from what I remember.
The Aproaching Decepticons crash land in a building site. Easy enough to from the Constructicons. I am a huge Soundwave fan; but at this point in our modern times. A radio just may not cut it. Same for Shockwave. As long as it does them respect do what you must.
While Starscream, Barricade, and the Const. get to work and beat the hell out of the Autobots. Soundwave with another version of Frenzy (I.e. Rumbble) gets to work on resuerecting Megatron, and let's bring back Blackout.
Soundwave whatever he turns into could be explained by what ever he turns into being parked at our around a Zoo. Why a Zoo you ask? cause that way Ravage and Laserbeak can be explained. And Yes they can fit in Soundwave is Scorp... can fit inside of Blackout.
But The Autobots geting the **** kicked out of them; In the nick of time a few pods crash through either a as said museum, or even a tar pit. It can be said that either an emergency signal was sent out by Prime... OR they Dinobots (Lightning Strike Coalition) followed their stasis pods.
I miss Jazz; I wasn't happya bout that at all. Why Not Wratchet? Anyhow... No Hotrod... Maybe Ultramagnus...maybe. But why not others Ok The Dinobots...sure ok whatever floats your boat; Arcee I'm fine with, but I want Inferno, Wheeljack and a few others. Anyhow they show to save the day; at the very last second. Sam and Mik are expected I can understand that; but how about given the blonde scientist a lil more time too.

the dinobots were friggin awesome in the cartoon, but they might not be all great in the film. i mean huge mechanicl dinosaurs? they might seem out of place.
For th next movie i think that starscream should come back with shockwave, soundwave, skywarp, thundercracker, and like 3 constructicons.
the autobots get there butts kicked but suddenly 4 pods crash on earth containing arcee, wheeljack, mirage, prowl.
a big fight breaks out over megatrons remains. the film ends with megatron comicg back to life. and another pod crashing on earth : jetfire.

please god, just no arcee. there's enough plot holes with the movie line allready, i don't think we need to throw the sex of a transformer in their too, god knows what kind of piss jokes we'd get then

It is learned that the creator of the Allspark is Unicron
If the All Spark has any creator, it should be the Quintessons. They are responsible for the construction of the Transformers on Cybertron. Perhaps the ancestors of the Quintessons have come to Earth in search of the remnants of the All Spark, and they set forth with a plan to enslave the human race and create a new Cybertron. They turn out to be little match for the Autobots, and it is they who resurrect Megatron. In the meantime, more Decepticons come to Earth with Starscream, and by movie's end all looks bleak.
By the second movie's end, more Autobots can come in search of Prime and the others on Earth and replenish the forces.
Resulting in a third movie of all out war.

It's the nature of trilogies, really, but I see what you're saying. The Spider-man movies didn't follow that plot for the second movie. Perhaps things are bleak so much as both sides are mounting for all-out war.
