The movie was more dependant on the human's part then the transformers part. it spent time developing the humans and being with the humans. we barely got to know the transformers. also the fight scenes were toooooo upclose not meaning the fighting wasnt bad, but the cam view was to close in to get the full fight in and stuff. i personally loved the film but the combat scenes were to cropped and i think killed the fighting a bit for me. also the 5 or less minutes of Prime and megs kinda was cruel to the film goers lol

i think more battles and def zoom out on the cam when they decide to get hand to hand

Question.
You're right in that there was too much "human".
You're right in that the robots had little character developement.
And the fighting was cropped & zoomed too far in, as well as being too short.
So what part of the movie was it that made you love it? DON'Tsayexplosions.

So you'd rather have Transformers on a planet other than Earth?
I they're on Earth, expect a lot of humans. Seriously. And there have been humans since G1! What's the big deal?

Just because it was on Earth doesn't mean there has to be humans. It could take place in a world where humans are wiped out.
I didn't mind the humans in the cartoon because there weren't many. I'd prefer more Transformers to robots.

After seeing it a second time I really felt the Special Ops group deserved to be in the middle of it and get some revenge for the guys who died in Qatar. Bring the rain!

We've known for a year now that the move was going to focus more on humans than TF.

So, you want TF's but no humans at all?

G1 did average, everyday humans correctly. Spike, Sparkplug, and Chip helped the Autobots by giving them info on Earth and helped with simple repairs, but they knew that when it came time for huge TFs battles to sit on the sidelines and let TFs duke it out without putting themselves in trouble.

I found it fitting. This is what it would be like in reality. Humans are either too courageous or too stupid to just stay out of things. This is taking place on their planet so of course they're gonna get involved!
Yeah, that and this is EXACTLY how it would be if this were to take place in real life. The military WOULD get involved and good luck getting them not to.

Yes, agreed.
My post wasn't saying anything against the movie.
G1 did humans correctly in the sense of giving them an importance but not all of the importance since it was the original TF show and focused on TFs.
This movie did humans correctly in the sense that they kept in mind that the REAL human population and government would get themselves involved.

Sorry but as my name suggests, im a cinema major and im telling you, if you like transformers, dont b*tch about the movie too much because how it was made is the reason why you'll be seeing at least 2 more of them.
Do you understand how movies are made at that level? If you had a G1 accurate movie, spending 150 million, and having only sam/spike in the movie and humans staying out of it??? who's going to relate to the movie and then you have a 150 million dollar moving making 80 million dollars at the most and Oh NO, NO more transformers.
If you want a movie like what some of you are asking for, raise up 100-150 million $$ and have someone make it just for you and the hardcore fans.
Some of you are not realizing that things had to be changed around in order to appeal to a wide variety of audiences. while me and a few other friends loved the idea of a transformers movie, you have no idea how many people gave the movie no shot at first because they were expecting some KIDDY movie... then they see the finished product this week and LOVED IT. They decided to go because the movie was made BELIEVABLE!!!
1. Why would you want the main human characters car to be a VW bug? That wouldnt appeal to anyone anymore.
2. Why should OP be a flat cab semi? Those things arent even used anymore but a few distribution centers who use them because they are cheaper...And god that would make him stick out big time.
3. humans not playing a part in the battle? Do you really think the military and US government would not step in , in any way to stop giant robots from destroying cities?????
4 as far as transformers on another planet without humans, its possible, for the 3rd, 4th or maybe 5th movie. Not the first two. You have to rope in a big time audience by relating to them. So far, I dont relate to being a giant transforming robot just yet. I relate to humans.......you do too as do we all. You go a few movies from the point of view of us humans which in reality, if this was to ever amazing happen in real life, is how we'd view it..as humans. Then in later on sequals , maybe you can try a stand alone transformers movie off in space somewhere.
You guys just need to be happy you have transformers on the big screen and stop bitching. Because if some of you got your way and it chased the non hardcore fans from watching this transformers movie, then you'd never see another big screen version again.

QFT, my friend. I got that from the movie moreso than anything else really. It was treated as an invasion, which makes all kinda sense to me.

The long part where Sam was looking for the glasses in his room and the interplay between him and his parents. I would have preferred using that time to show us the relationship within the autobots instead.

I know lots of peopel who consider the classic VW bug appealing. It was the VW company that would not let them use it.

Having just worked for a distribution center I can say for a fact that the COE are actually cheaper to maintain than the snub nose, or extended cabs.

Maybe for futures movies, but I think this first one needed human/TF interaction.

First live-action film = live-action version of MTMTE

Humans are like an anchor, to keep the movie based in a more realistic setting. Otherwise, their disguises would be completely pointless and it would stop being a live action movie.

Being former military and watching the movie, all I could do was roll my eyes. The whole military scenario was hokey! A Predator drone with afterburner????
