it doesn't matter if you are on the brink of being a top-100 bot in this game, when beachcomber shows up, you'll be eating dirt anyway.

(dreadbird was actually 106 at the time of the arena bout, beachcomber 336)

Everything about this post is quotable in someone's signature - well done! Now if only your bot would suck less... :P

Kidding! The Lvl 2s get in the way of victory. Any mission where a Lvl 2 is seen should just be avoided for the time being to limit their XP gain. Something has to be done to slow them down.

Hmm.. i got some good examples where my mid-L1 bots can compete with L2's score wise. Since the war is still fresh, it's not won when L0's fight L2.

Good points. But there aren't enough L1's yet to fill out the missions. So how do you (a) even the numbers so that the enemy has to distribute their targeting and (b) ensure the participants are of a high enough caliber to face the growing quantity of Con L2's?

We're getting more level 1s into missions so the most common situation is mostly 1s on both sides with only one or two level 2 cons for the time being. I've been in some battles where the bots have beaten the cons when they have the higher average level, so don't be intimidated by the cons having higher point setups. Work on getting those setups which produce results and play hard, and we'll show the cons we are not the pushovers they want us to be.

That's the main problem!
Maybe againsting more max/preds to earn more exps?

Well, what works other than speed/avoid? I'm coming in at less than 10k XP for each 'former still as I'm just restarting and fighting fire with fire only works so well when fighting a much larger fire.

your ONLY choice right now is speed/avoid. this is the only way to get more xp/€ from a mission than a con.

Right now, it's not about your win%, it's about gaining xp

If XP is the only goal then we shouldn't be running Speed/Avoid, we should be running Avoid and resetting at every chance to upgrade to a higher avoid. Then it's a matter of preference for stats to stay alive longer to get more Avoids...
-- Strength for Armor for Weapon Damage Reduction
-- Endurance for Tactic Damage Reduction
-- Speed for favorable Hit/Miss Percentages

Anything wrong with that logic?

even Mencia would have to give me the dedede award for that fight.... sigh. oh well, I guess that bot is like a slinky.... perfectly worthless, but alot of fun to push down a flight of stairs.
