Defeated, but spirits still high

After the crash the thread for 'I was defeated, but it was worth it' thread seemed to die. So i thought perhaps we could try a new one. Basically this is for those missions where you are defeated in battle, but your spirits have not been defeated, where regardless of the outcome you still gain yourself some nice XP, come out the top bot, or possibly you and a teammate bot out score the opposition.

8 avoids total, gaining me 546XP in all. Final minute and half, 16 shots taken, over half missed.

Join in and post your missions like this and show that despite the fact you were defeated, you still gave them a run for their money in some way. Or just simply let this thread die again.

I had a mission like that yesterday, so I'll put it up here. The Maxies were outnumbered 5 to 6 and we were defeated.

Wind was defeated, yet had the most xp

1,322 Xp haul. Only 250 came from 5 avoids, the rest from damage handed out. was 3-on-2.

Thoroughly defeated, but I take some solace that none of them escaped unharmed.

I'll jump into any mission that looks remotely winnable, and I do check them before going to the arena. Seriously though, sending lvl 0 guys against con/pred lvl 2s is just hopeless. It depends entirely on whether friendly higher level bots show up. Better to build up, I think.

The opposition will build up faster in the missions... yeah it kinda sucks for us now, but with more missions for us it will start to change.

Yeah, missions are better than arena for building up, as long as each side is somewhat equal. (200xp vs 125xp, for generic level 0s all other things being equal, and it scales up with level.) Before the reset I played for the autobots, nothing but level 0 and 0-1 missions, and it was great.

I don't keep records of fight results or anything, but from anecdotal experience: in the arena my good lvl 0s usually come out with ~180 xp and 30-60% left, while in missions they'll rarely get over 150 xp and almost always die.

Hopefully the new mission brackets will improve things.
