This is a warning to all who have traded with or have traded or are in the process of trading, BEWARE of user using this name or these names, HOKUTONOKEN24 or HOMEBOY44, he is a rip off, he never sends items, he say he send items off, but he never does, the reason i know this is because he is my cousin, he lives with us, my mother has been suspicious of him recieving all theses packages that keep on coming in that has my fathers name on it JLA, he never puts his name on it because he doesnt want the person hes dealing with to know his real name. but claim they are his, he told me about seibertron.com, he says hes going to send them there items, but he never goes to the post office, he doesnt work, so I dont know how he would be able to send items off in the first place. So just be careful...BIG RIPOFF!!! Please respond back to this post if anybody out there are dealing with this guy..

What it is he took, and the address you have is my fathers, he doesnt live here my mother kicked him out a few days ago, stole money from my mom, she caught him, and used my credit card without permission buying more figures i suppose, if there is anything i can do to help, please let me know, also the second I find out where is he, I will post up his address for the other people that have traded with him...

he ripped me off, and he will be getting confronted when i go on vacation in florida. i've had many great trades and business w/ the fine members of this site, and this ********** goes and rips me off. kinda makes me not want to trade via mail anymore. shame.

Most of us probably know this.. but it only takes 1 person to ruin things for everyone... I always wondered how trades were handled.. I think Kingplay and I had the most secure way to trade. We both billed each each other a PayPal invoice. Then paid, and shipped with delivery confirmation to a confirmed address.

Sure it costs a couple a few more $$$, but it's worth it for peace of mind.

With the exception of a local pick/exchange, I wouldn't trade any other way, now.

Yeap, if I do trades it will have to involve a third party like paypal!

Though we get charged 4%, It is like paying insurance for the peace of mind that my toys are coming!

this has been a lesson learned and thank you for the tip. and it really does take just one person to ruin it for everyone.
btw, what did you bill an invoice to if it was a trade? a deposit? please let me know

First both of us talked over the phone. Ironed out the details. Then, Using the send money option, we described exactly what was being traded and sent the bill. For me, actually, I was testing the PayPal beta "invoice" tool. I was able to send a pretty professional looking bill. The beta is over now, though.

Main thing is to describe exactly what is being transacted, and to ship to a confirmed address.

We both paid our bills, and both are eligible for seller protection. We both are protected as buyers, too. I also shipped through PayPal. you can make use of the automated shipping, and delivery confirmation is FREE That's a $.75 value for priority mail and only $.18 for parcel post. Good deal.. You get your money's worth, IMO.

Hopefully, I don't come off as someone working for PayPal. :grin:

I don't, but PayPal has saved me many a time with sellers who's items aren't as described, or from buyers who try to claim the item was never sent.

i'm so pissed right now after reading this. i too am one of his victims. i was going to post in the feedback section but wanted to wait just to make sure but now that it's official, go screw yourself asshole! i soooo want to go to florida right now and punch this guy in the face. i never got my classics starscream so then when i pm him he says that his sister forgot to mail it out and that he's so sorry. he even says that he'll return my item along with the starscream but this was more than a week ago so who knows if i'll ever get my stuff back. DOUCHEBAG!!! :-x

Really sorry, man, but don't give him the satisfaction.. for all we know, he (could even be a she... who knows) openly confessed (or had his cousin, if there is one) to his taking advantage of everyone and is now laughing his tail off at the uproar he's created, single handedly...

ok, for the sake of believing mr. alvarez, if he said we will be getting our stuff back, lets just wait and see. i'm not trying to be naieve, but sometimes you need to let someone rectify his his wrong-doings (or in his case, his cousins' wrong-doings). lets see if things get put back where they came from. there are ppl here who do have the power to track him and confront him (w/ a pair of handcuffs).
mr julio alvarez, i hope you stick to your word, as there are alot of ppl here affected by this. it's your turn.
