25% Off Most Transformers Figures at Toysrus Canada From April 28 to May 4 2017

PostPosted: Wed Apr 26, 2017 8:32 pm
by william-james88
Another month, another sale at Toysrus Canada. This one is pretty important though since it will finally bring down the prices on the new movie figures to something more affordable for Canadians. For those unaware, both deluxes and voyagers jumped $10 in price for the movie line. This 25% off sale on all Transformers below $59.99 nullifies that increase for Voyagers (bringin them back to $30) and helps with the deluxes (bringing them down to $22.50). Of course, it's not just movie figures that will be on sale, so will Generations and RID figures. The sale is from April 28th to May 4th. Happy hunting!

Well well well. It was faster than anticipated. Luckily, I still have my receipt so I'll eventually go to have the difference refunded on my TLK voyager Prime.
No regrets for buying early and adding that trouble because it was the only one left.

The Walmart on St-Martin have around 5 or 6 in stock.

Chaos on Velocitron Set Found in Canada and 25% Off Toysrus Sale Begins Friday

Good news for Canadians. Firstly, the Chaos on Velocitron set was found in Ontario at Toysrus. This should reach other Toysrus stores across the country soon enough. The price is $150 CDN + taxes (about $125 USD total). With the rumblings that all the boxsets have been received and accounted for from the distributor in the US (which makes sense, since there is only one retailer distributing it), it might be good to have some Canadian friends. The set was found by Transbot90210 from Cybertron.ca.

There is also a Toysrus sale starting in a few minutes from now, for 25% off on all Transformers under $60 (so not including this set). This will help counter the massive price hike of the movie toys. The sale lasts all week, good luck with the hunt!

This sucks...My TRU's never got this in, I'd been stopping in a few times a week at each searching for it. Hate eBay prices for it as well.

This box set will be mine I've already spent hundreds on other Titans return figures to have them all so I technically need this.

New Transformers Aisles Displays at Toysrus Canada

PostPosted: Thu May 18, 2017 12:27 pm
by william-james88
Toysrus Canada is doing some changes to its Transformers section. It seems to be happening across the country in light of the abundance of Trasformers toys coming with three lines being maintained at the same time. Toys have been moved from their usual shelves (see below) to a four sided aisle display with a header featuring the standard Generations art for Optimus Prime. So if you don't find your Transformers in their usual area, check along the aisles.

Looks like your Transformers have rabies.

That's so weird that your stores are all in French in Quebec.

Mindwipe continues to be the shelfwarming champion for TR I should take the opportunity to buy one for Fangry since it makes for a decent base for a body for him I can take a pic later of what mine looks like since he is currently taking Mindewipe's place.

It took me too long to get that joke

But yeah, "rabais" is "rebate" in french. And its the law, all signs must be in french. And if there is an english sign, it must be in smaller print than the french:

Product labels, their instructions, manuals, warranty certificates as well as restaurant menus and wine lists must be in French. Other languages may be used, provided French's prominence is at least equivalent.[17][18][19]

Catalogues, brochures, folders, commercial directories and other such publications, must be in French. All software (for example, video games and operating systems) must be available in French unless no French version exists.[20]

Signs and posters must be in French, and they may also be in another language provided French is markedly predominant.

The tagling for the brand is very interesting though, it translates to "Masters of Illusion" which is not a tagline I heard assiciated to the TF brand before.

Sounds like the tagline to a David Copperfield crossover.

I was thinking more of a GOB crossover

Any sighting of this set in the Montreal area yet? I will start hunting for it soon but it would help if I knew of some store who already have them in stock near (relativaly) my house.

The local K-mart moved TFs to that sort of space right before they stopped restocking them anymore.

That is probably in Quebec city itself (as in, les Galeries de la Capitale probably). I will go hunting tomorrow. Hopefully, there will be one in LaSalle or Décarie.
