No more limited than any other figures. Even the "exclusively" is relative. And for the regular price they go for, these are basically unscalpable.

That is, unless a store pull a Target and clearance the thing at 75% off 3 weeks after it's release. :HEADHURTS:

I thought I had read somewhere a while back that they were limited to 5000 units. I mean perhaps I’m wrong but I remember being really disappointed by it.

I call fake news.
Heck, you can stiff find Ectotron in stores today and they'll even re-release him with some differences in paint for the upcoming movie.

So, no need to buy from a scalper.

People don't read carefully enough. They said the initial stock would only be 5000 units followed by a wider release later. What you are looking at is most probably the wider release.

The Black Friday Transformers Deals in Canada are limited to Last Year's Products

PostPosted: Fri Nov 27, 2020 11:11 am
by william-james88
2020's Black Friday is turning out to be rather lame for Transformers toys, at least when it comes to the main retailers.

Both Toysrus and Walmart have massive sales... on last year's items. Most of these are Siege toys that were just recently restocked, meaning there was a ton left over accumulating dust in a warehouse. In Toysrus, the Siege voyagers (anyone want another Siege Megatron?) are shy of $20 while Siege deluxes (how about another Chromia?) are shy of $15 at Walmart. The Cyberverse armoured figures are also $15 at Walmart while Toysrus is selling their newly restocked Siege leaders for $35.

These deals are only available in store at the moment since the limited online stock sold out instantly.

The most interesting ones like a 20$ Springer or a less than 7$ cassettes pack were sold out instantly.

Regardless, Canadian Black Friday suck major ass.

The American online retailers are no better. TF Source and BBTS have the same old, same old on sale. Often just at 10% off. Big woop.

Meh. More money saved by not buying anything.

This is my local Walmart. Just look at this Transformers selection! Appart some Gigawatt at the bottom, you can see the cancer growths all over...

Sigh.

New Canadian Sightings Include Deluxe Thunderhowl at Winners, Netflix Deluxe Toys and More

PostPosted: Thu Dec 10, 2020 8:26 pm

It seems some big box stores were not going to put their Transformers orders on the shelves and sold them off to Winners (what TJMaxx goes by in Canada). Wave 4 of the Cyberverse deluxes has been found there in a few provinces, meaning that Canada's first sighting of deluxe Thunderhowl is at Winners (or Marshalls, which is the exact same store). They also stocked up on other Transformers toys at discounted prices. Here is a rundown of what you may find at a Winners or Marshalls under the Cyberverse line:

Deluxe for $19.99
Scouts for $9.99
1 Steps for $7.99
Battlecall Officer Class for $49.99

Also, the Netflix deluxe wave 2 toys were found in British Columbia and Alberta.

Even the newest Arcee, whom I only saw listed at Amazon.ca while I awaited my BBTS order. #-o

Oh well... That's also why I finally decided to get Deluxe Bee, Optimus, and Megs. Bee being passable, the other two being marvelous.

I think all those 3 are awesome, I think that's the best deluxe Bee we've ever gotten.

My only beef with that Bee, not counting the scale, is it's transformation is not that intuitive compared to the other two.
Regardless, the Cyberverse Deluxe line is a solid one.

Looks like the Kingdom line has hit Ontario. Saw what appears to be the first wave at the Wal-Mart at Square One - Mississauga. They had a bunch of Optimus Primal, Warpath, Cheetor, and Paleotrex (the pictures don't show it, but there were a bunch of each).

I only purchased the OP, but, it scanned for $29.99. That's got to be an error since it's a Voyager Class figure.

Happy Hunting!

While too many stores are closed due to the you-know-what bull, Age 3 & Up have it's Boxing Week sale. Many Transformers are on very light sale, but some 3P figures, board games, and action figures are on sale as well.

I may buy something from them soon, especially with free shipping for orders over 250$CAN before taxes. In this hobby, it's not hard to do.

Going to hunting today at Toysrus and Walmart in Montreal was a complete waste.
Namur Walmart was barren. Not just TF, but Marvel, DC, MOTU, lots of nothing.
The only thing of interest at TRU was that they still have a Fastrack available which is quite surprising. I though many said they couldn't find him.

As if they want to sell online only.
And if you look at Toys R Us online, it's as if they don't want to sell anything at all.

God.
Damn.
Bullcrap.
Lockdowns.

Honestly, I don't think the lockdown has anything to do with it. If anything, a lockdown should have made TRU get their crap together to make sure they are a reliable online store for new toys. But even in face of that, they refused to ameliorate in any way.
