I believe so, but I have no idea honestly! It's my first time too. :D

Though I am supposed to be volunteering all weekend, so I may be running in a frenzy most of the time. You arriving on the Saturday or Friday?

My plan so far, as I couldn't get a t-shirt off Ryan, is to shout SEIBERTRON at regular intervals, and see what happens. Apart from being diagnosed with Tourette's. Image

I am there from Friday, then through the whole weekend. The wife and kids are coming too, but she's already asked if I will be meeting up for a pint with anyone off the boards. If I spot anyone randomly shouting SEIBERTRON at least I'll know it's you! :APPLAUSE:

If you're on the volunteer team, could you not slip a word in and see if you can get them to mention/signpost a meetup?
And unfortunately I can't go. One day I'll make it there again, I swear.

I will be your friend. I get uni funding, so all I have to do to get money is.. hm.. write about comics in translation, and translate comics. And some admin stuff.

Though I am teaching next year. *shivers* First years...

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghlord's idea is a good 'un. We can coordinate before the thing, and then have a thing at the thing, without things getting in the way.

And craggy, I know what you mean, but the lot I've met on here (and I mean ODB, not the whole place) seem decent enough. Except for that comics review guy, who pretends he's UK when he's Italian. He sounds like a real male genital. (Image)

I can try, but as it's only my first year I have little sway with Simon and the coordinators.
As I said, I usually get by comic conventions by shouting at people, including guests.

If any of you ever show up in Leeds at ThoughtBubble, you'll find me. Shouting.

Plus folks tend to be nicer face to face than just typing at a screen. Attendees are mostly Brits, while I don't want to come off as racist against the Yanks that is where a lot of the big egos on the boards come from.

Maybe. travel, hotel and then the ridiculous amounts i'd probably spend put me off though. mostly the money, and the potential for some of the people. i speaking to a lot of people on the internet about TFs. but there are some i feel might be best avoided. i don't want some dude throwing a Hitler In Downfall fit because i might mention that i quite like Jack, Miko and Raf, or something like that.

 I know what you mean, there is an element of nervousness as I have had conversations (not so much on these boards) with people who get pretty irate if you dare have a different opinion about TFs! Personally I think everyone's entitled to their opinion and to like whatever aspect of TFs they want to, as long as they don't try to ram it down my throat as if it's gospel when I don't wholeheartedly agree. :HEADHURTS:

For anyone after generations Springer a guy on the boards has e-mailed me to say he got Voyager Springer from Amazon.com for £25 inc. P&P and only took 9 days to arrive. I checked the website and the price to UK was correct.

My home is where my contract with UEA tells me it is, so within 50km of campus.
I live in Norwich full-time now, and will be doing so for the next two years at least.

As for ThoughtBubble, it's down at the Royal Armouries, and all around it.
Take a look! http://thoughtbubblefestival.com/

It's probably been mentioned already but my local TRU has finally got some Beast Hunters figures in stock.

From what I could see they had wave 1 cyberverse figures (legion and Commander) wave 1 voyagers, and deluxe waves 1 and 2.

Popped into my local toys r us in Warrington. Glad I did, nice to see a fresh range of transformers, had beast hunters wave 1 & 2 in deluxe, and voyager wave 1 also.

picked up Ripclaw and Smokescreen, did the arm and feet mods straight away on smokescreen, and painted a few more details on him and he shapes up to be a pretty decent figure, if you don't mind the spare parts being left on the shelf/in a box.

Noticed something strange about my Ripclaw though, her tail didn't sit flush...

Image

As where on that photo the segment where her tail meets the brown part on her body sort of clips onto those round nob bits, mine doesn't have the notches for the tail to clip into. Weird :S

Definitely! If you've been in the past four years, we may have met already.
I wear a red staff t-shirt, a radio and shout a lot. I'm starting to think there's a pattern here. :-?

That is odd. It seems as though the EU market is getting some glitches again.
Could you take it back and check if it's the case on all of them?

Has anyone else ordered Chaos/Paladin? I want mine NAO.

Finally got some Beast Hunters stuff on the shelves in my area. Went to Smyth's in Cardiff and picked up Cyberverse Smokescreen, Twinstrike, Airachnid, Prime and Predaking along with Deluxe Soundwave (for the more G1 colours). Got back to Newport and popped into Tesco and they only bloody well had them all there. Live and learn, I consoled myself with a Superbot Prime and a bottle of Scotch.

we probably have met. I've yet to help out, but know a lot of the guys that do. You know James, Sanjay, Wesman?

I'm still waiting on my Generations Triple-changers going in-stock at TFSource, but Chaos and Hexatron are on the "can't come soon enough" list. Well, okay, they can come after payday, maybe.

Yes, but don't ask me to place names and faces. :D

They had no other Ripclaws on the shelves, besides by that point i'd already modded her neck for more articulation and painted some details on her.

Noticed the entertainer stores have the beast hunters line in, with a starting offer of 25% off, voyagers at £17 odd pound, deluxes for just under £10 they also had the ultimate predaking which I was surprised about, but it had no price on it, so no clue if it was included in the 25% off deal as well.

Ultimate Predaking you say? Hmmm. :-?

EDIT: Website says Coming Soon, and prices it at £49.99.

Hmm that's a little steep in price for my tastes :/ might wait to see what Tesco prices it at, I have vouchers and get 10% staff discount which might motivate me, have no need for it though to be honest, and no room for it. didn't see the prime though, maybe they got it in early and just put it out with the rest of the new stock.

Found the Kreon Cliffjumper/Vehicons packs marked down to £4 at the Entertainer in Leeds, not sure if that'll be national but good for troop building. Snagged 4 packs.

Spotted them at A1 Toys/Comics in Glasgow. Didn't see the price.
(The shop is part of The Entertainer, it seems.)

Also at A1, and TRU Norwich - Ultimate Fire Predaking, for £49.99.

BH toys have finally arrived in my local Tesco in Leeds. They had voyagers and deluxes from Wave 1. Also my local Asda had some of the legion class combiner Terrorcons so I picked up Hun-gurrr and Windrazor (Cutthroat) for £4.97 each. I don't normally go for legion class toys but I have to admit these guys are pretty cool for their size.

Of course this was before I saw the photos from Botcon of the deluxe size versions of Twinstrike and Windrazor (please god make Hun-gurrr a voyager!). But most awesome for me, one of my G1 favourites Doubledealer! I must have that figure! =P~

Yeah, deluxe Terrorcons would be nice if they could combine and if we were definitely getting all 5. Since they don't and we probably aren't I'll stick to picking up 2 sets of the small ones for less than what 1 set of the bigger ones would cost. While there's been some nice stuff revealed this weekend those oversized CV figures are just a huge waste of plastic. Just adding elbow, knee and neck joints would have improved them dramatically, but 'twas not to be.

Are they really doing that then? Just upsizing the cyberverse figures? Because if they are then thats sh*te. :BOOM: I was hoping they had used the cyberverse pictures by mistake! Whose dumbass idea was that Hasbro?!?

Anyone heading to London Film and Comic Con this weekend?
Furman, Wildman, Baskerville, Carter, Stringer, Shalloo will be there, among other guests!
