Munkky wrote:For those who have got a Sky Shadow from B&M, what's the quality control like on it? I only ask because every Generations figure I've bought from them in the past has been rather poor quality. I got a Thrilling 30 Jetfire out of there once for £15, the joints were stiff, some of the paint wasn't bonding to the plastic, and the whole thing felt really flimsy and brittle. I also got a Roadbuster not long afterwards, it was covered in production scars, had stiff ratchet joints in the shoulders and weak joints in the knees, and it stank of burning plastic.

I didn't get mine from B&M but I think the combiner wars figures on a whole were done more cheaply than the titans return series, tho titans return seems to have suffered from more issues (looseness, same hands etc). Sky Shadows pretty much a brick and no reported issues as far as I know (other than if like me you try to force the wings down in base mode as ramps which could cause stress marks-instructions show them like that but they are molded differently on the figure so it is impossible to do).

Home bargains had a G1 prime Rubix cube SDF/big head figure thing in for £4ish but was only one of them on the shelves. Didn't cave in, tho if it had been those old puzzle slider things I probably would have just for the nostalgia.

@eltawater pm'd ya, thanks.

More exploration of Glasgow's Tesco Extra stores, today: SPRINGBURN!

TR Deluxes, all £5
Hardhead
Scourge
Skullsmasher

TR Voyagers, all £8.75
Alpha Trion
Astrotrain

Also is anyone up for picking me up some of the £5 deluxes and post them to me (I'd pay both the price of the figure and postage)? These are the figures I'm looking for (only these ones):

-Top Spin
-Twin Twist
-Windblade
-Krok
-Misfire

If any of you is up for this, please don't buy them before getting in touch with me, feel free to DM, and if nobody's up for it, that's cool! I know it's a big ask! And I extend the offer if you're interested in any of the ones I listed.

I think Twintwist, Misfire and Windblade are not officially being released over here, pretty much the same goes for slugslinger, ramhorn, overlord (I think we were supposed to get blitzwing and Octane as our last official releases but with PotP releasing it is doubtful). Maybe TK Maxx will get them eventually.

Gotcha, thank you for the correction!

B&M had 3x TR six shots in £15 each, they also had the R.I.D15 Cylconus combiner and premier edition last knight leader megatron and optimus in but they didn't have a price sticker on the shelves.

Well I picked up top spin for £5.99 from the Stockton b&m today and noted they had six shot but he was next to combiner wars leader skywarp and starscream for £24.99. I couldn't see a separate price tag so is he really retailing for 15 quid,

Sixshot really is retailing for £15 in B&M, it's madness that they keep trying to flog the combiner wars leaders for £25, they've been doing that for months and they're not shifting!

Thanks, it is daft that they are still trying to sell them, if they were less I might be tempted for starscream as he comes with that crown but that's about it. As crazy as it sounds I'm tempted by the rid combining bee team :-?

Just been to b&m Stockton and some titan returns legends class figures. They had two bumblebees, two gnaws and a kickback...still on the fence with six shot.

hotukdeals mentions more of the wave 4 deluxes popping up in B&M for £5.99 but none near me, tho thanks to eltawater my wave 4 is complete so I don't have to hunt them down.

I'd say six shot at £15 hes worth picking up even if you get one with a loose leg, some of his modes are good (wolf, robot, artillery/anti air thing plus he compliments the other japanese headmaster series figures well, even galvatron. I wouldn't want to splash out on the takara version for the minor differences/fixed legs or even the encore g1 reissue compared to him at £15. He's also got a lot of play with the titan masters to sit on/in him.

If you have the G1 version I'd give it a miss as other than elbow joints I don't think it's as nice (I might be biased as g1 sixshot was the last g1 transformer I ever bought from a toy shop during g2 -styro foam boxed nostagia goodness and all). It would be cool if B&M ever restocked the K.O hexatron/sixshot.

Hang on. They're selling each of the wave 1 Prime Masters individually for £6.99 each, but to buy all 3 as a group is £21.99.
That's not kosha.

ie. 3x £6.99 = £20.97

Yep, pay for convenience and lazyness of one click :P Toys R us has them and second wave listed at £5.99 each on their website but who knows if they will ever get them in stock -just checked only 4 of them listed now.
http://www.toysrus.co.uk/toys/s?Dy=1&Nt ... rs&x=0&y=0

Not sure where other toy town toyshops are based but they have TR Hotrod for £9.99 if people are unlucky in finding them at tescos or B&M prices.

I think my toys r us are getting worse in terms of tf selection but then I think back to the completely disorganised shelves then I think they're getting ready for the inevitable. Though on the other hand they did have computron oddly enough.

Cool, doubt I'll get to Crown Point at the weekend but waiting for sales on most of the POTP stuff anyways (planning to pick up the abominus members plus dark and dreadwing at retail)

I just wonder if all the components of abominus will make it to retail, I'm holding off on volcaunis for that reason

Am I the only one struggling to get excited about POTP?

Volcanicus looks underwhelmingly thin and there's nothing really exciting about multiple Rodimus and Starscream remolds.

Waiting to see if they finally give Scorponok the titan treatment but until then I really CBA with these and will wait for them to hit B&M in two years time :P
