I don't know who would win this one. Galactus eats worlds. And Optimus Prime would die tring to kill him. What do you think?

If it was that crappy one from FF 2 then Optimus all the way. If it 626 or what ever universe you have to rely on the Matrix.

If four fleshbags could defeat Galactus, than Optimus has serioue chances...

OK, seriusly: it really depends on the Matrix. If it is an universal badboy-destroyer, or plays 80's disco tracks, Optimus has chance. In any other chance, Galactus will have a Prime dinner.

you know that the Sliver Surfer didn't kill him right? that was only his ship! He couldn't have killed that easy. He's got a lot more power than that.

Well actually, it exists to kill pure evil (like let's say Unicron).

So it therefore wouldn't work at all on Galactus. Galactus is beyond the concept of good and evil and has stated that fact many times. He's more like a force of nature to be honest. The first time the Fantastic Four beat him in the comics the Surfer turned the tide with the power cosmic. The only time they truely beat him was when Reed was prepared to use the Ultimate Nullifer (using it can let you destroy literally anything it's pointed at, but at the cost of the user also dying, hence the name). Prime wouldn't really stand a chance against Galactus. The Matrix destroyed Unicron's coporal body but it didn't entirely kill him, and as previously stated only works on Evil (and I think since it's powered by Primus only Unicron really).

For those that are still in doubt, let me enlighten you to Galactus' power. He weilds the Power Cosmic in it's full power making him the second (third if the Phoenix Force has a powerful psychic host) most powerful creature in the Marvel Universe second only to The Creator. He's the only survivor of the last universe before it was destroyed and recreated into the universe that exists now. If he can surivive the destruction of the universe (and in effect reality as we know it) then how could Optimus ever hope to overcome him?

The only chance Optimus has (and this is even if he had the entire Autobot army and for shits and giggles why not the Cons too) is if Galactus is so hungry that his power levels have dropped to "managable" levels. And even then it'd take every Transformer alive to bring his death about. But this is a one on one fight. So Optimus has absolutely no chance, and whatever planet this is being fought on is devoured by Galactus.

Well, actually, Prime could stand a chance if he'd get the 13 originals to help him. Those guys have suppposedly kept Unicron at bay in the DW comics, although we never got to see it in printed form.

Anywho, the originals are only second to Primus and Unicron.

Alternately, a merging with the Underbase could empower Prime quite a bit, but in the end it would kill him even if he did manage to beat Galactus.

OP decides that G is too purple. He takes G's face and thus beats him. He tries not to think of the consequences.
