I think Fort. Max would win, but one quick question: Is Fortress Maximus a little bigger than Metroplex or a lot bigger? I don't think they ever showed them together.

Apparently Fortress Maximus is somewhat bigger. Unless I'm wrong and the drawings are way off scale. He has the advantage of being a double headmaster though.

But the comics depict Maximus as Gestalt size (?). While Metroplex stays city size. So depending on which ever you choose, G1 cartoon or G1 comic, it's really more of, who's the smarter bot.

I say Fortress Maximus just because I like him more than Metroplex, and that he drools massive-ass transformers. (I find him more recognizable and likable than Mertoplex)

I think Fortress is supposed to be quite a bit bigger.

i never liked maximus or scorponok. they just seemed pointless, trypticon and metroplex filled the rolls well and the other two just seemed tacked on. i like metroplex more, but everything ive read suggests fortress maximus would win.

Fort Max, seems like he is better armed

It's a tie.

If fort max has the nads to be leader of the autobots, he can probably beat metroplex.

Assuming that both are similar size, Maximus' main advantage is speed. He's much faster than Metroplex, perhaps because he can fly. However, Metroplex is certainly no pushover. This would be a close fight. Metroplex's ace-in-the-hole is that he can produce antimatter, which makes cataclysmic explosions on contact with regular matter. Maximus would be vaporised, as would everything and everyone else for miles around. I hope that Metroplex keeps his distance from these colossal explosions.

Again, this battle is highly unlikely to happen.
