I think Gandalf vs. Dumbledore or Gandalf vs. Voldemort would be a far better match.
As much as I prefer Harry Potter over LotR, Gandalf wins.

Makes me think of some fan art I saw at Anime Weekend Atlanta a few years back of Gandalf curb stomping Harry. Atleast that's how I see this match going.

Gandalf is a Maiar, a kind of demi-god. Potter is a schoolkid. Gandalf has to win this.
