G1 Cyclonus vs G1 Megatron
Personally my moneys on Megatron
what do others think?

I'd give this one to G1 Megatron too.

I do believe Cyclonus would put up an excellent fight, but he just doesn't have enough to defeat Megatron.

Cyclonus maybe upgraded, but he still doesn't have what it takes against Megatron.

Going from Target: 2006.

Cyclonus nearly beat Megatron twice in that one, he only lost the second time because Soundwave snuck up from behind.

Actually body checking Megatron into a cliff doesn't constitute a win just means he took Megatron by Surprise and the second time Megatron was playing possum and Soundwave didn't actually do anything and a double left and right cross by Megatron to Cyclonus head was more than enough to defeat Cyclonus.

And later on in the UK comics an reanimated Megatron took on both Cyclonus and Scourge where Scourge ran and Cyclonus pleaded with Scourge to help him against Megatron but in the end Megatron ended up tearing Cyclonus head from his body so going by that I would say Megatron is the clear winner.

Cyclonus and Scourge were afraid to fight back, killing Megatron would have erased them from existance.

Anyway, Target 2006 Cyclonus seems far more powerful then in any of his later appearances (because Unicron didn't power them anymore?).

Megatron takes this battle with very heavy damage.

Cyclonus is pretty powerful but Megatron has been dealing with disobedient Decepticons for a long time and knows exactly how to knock out Cyclonus. Megatron might be able to hide in his small gun mode and then strike with a tremendous beam of fusion plasma. However, Cyclonus is very familiar with this ability and would be on alert for it. Cyclonus uses an oxidising laser, which makes enemies' internal mechanisms seize up. This might be his best chance for an eventual victory over Megatron.
