predaking is usually considered to be one of, if not the top combiner in g1, but he has never done alot to earn that rep. he fought sky lynx numerous times in the cartoon and was soundly defeated each time. im not sure that i ever saw him actually win a fight against something nearing his own size during the whole series. in dreamwave he managed to defeat bruticus, though he wasnt really shown to be ably to dominate the fight. bruticus' own stupidity seemed to get the better of and leave him open to alot of attacks, even though physically he showed he was capable of matching predaking.

on the other hand menasor is often refered to as the most psychotic and dangerous combiner ever created. in the cartoon they actually defeated superion in their first fight, only to be double teamed by him and omega supreme. he had the strength to put bruticus down, as well as leave the seperated combaticons unconcious for a period of time. and he was enough in dreamwave to make rumble and frenzy scared, which is a pretty decent feat. in the end ultra magnus, with some help, used menasors fractured mind against him to score a victory, something i dont think predaking is intelligent enough to do in a combat situation.

so, who takes it?

If you read Predaking's tech specs, then you'll see he's one tough customer. I hate it how he was beat by Sky Lynx in the cartoon.... Why, I oughta...

Anyway! I believe that Menasor is known as a super warrior. Pretty cool, huh? No other gestalt was called that. Maybe just a warrior, but not a super warrior.

Does Menasor have what it takes to beat Predaking? I think he does. If the Stunticon's personalities didn't clash so much, then maybe Menasor would have a level head for once, giving him a decent chance to fight the Predacon gestalt. But Predaking's exceptionally skilled and strong, it's hard to see Menasor take him down. But if Predaking ever got caught in one of those fits Menasor has, then he's in a bit of trouble....

Predaking easy.

I always considered Predaking to be more advanced then the previous gestalts (Devastator, Menasor, Defensor, etc). I think that Menasor could beat him if he got upgrades and such to make him on par with the newer gestalts.

Otherwise I'd vote Predaking.

While i bow to your comic knowledge and rational applications of... I've got a question about Predaking being more advanced.

The way Shockwave mentions it in a marvel comic, Devastator was a prototype combiner, while Menasor was all together an improvement on that prototype, making the constructicons obsolete in there "creators" processor.

Later combiners were built based on the Stunticon combiner technology, but I don't think specifically the Predacons were intended to be based on this technology. I'm a bit shadey on there origins. Did Shockwave hire them to make a hit on Rodimus and Galvatron?

If so then i gues they got the tech from him, but if they were standed on a "beast planet" for a long time, then there tech could predate the others. Not exactly more advanced, but PredaKing does have the edge on reaction time and intellegence. A little odd if he was substandard

I still think Menasor is screwed, but it should make for a good sword fight

Well, I love Menasor, but I still think Predaking could kick his, or anyone else's, @$$!

Menasor vs Predaking this should be an interesting battle well I do believe Predaking is stronger and faster. Menasor is far more pscyhotic and unpredictable in battle and at his most dangerous during his fits of rage.

If Predaking can defeat Menasor before he totally loses control and flies into one of his fits of rage then Preaking wins, however if Menasor flies into one of his pyschotic rages then Menasor has a good chance of defeating Predaking through his sheer rage and unpredictable nature during combat.

Preadking will win.

This is a close one. Predaking has the edge in intelligence and skill so I would usually bet on him. However, Menasor has mental problems and is unpredictable. P might be taken by surprise. M could blast P multiple times before he's ready, maybe in the back. If P is stunned, damaged and/or knocked down, M could finish him up close with cannon, sword, fists and/or feet. Drag Strip has a gravito gun that could be used to make Predaking heavier and thus hold him down.
