Who do you think will win?

If they form Superion, the Dinobots will eventually loose. If they don't, the Dinobots will win.

Tough one. I can see Slingshot losing this one for the A-Bots. "Come on guys! We don't need Superi...."

Yeah, but that's IF. The Dinobots are tough as nails on the ground. Can they buy the time?

Then again, they could fly around and just bombard the hell out of the Dinobots.

But remember, Silverbolt's afraid of heights. He might be reluctant to take to the skies. And apparently, Fireflight's a lunatic in the air. He's probably just as likely to shoot a fellow Aerialbot, as he is to shoot one of the Dinobots.

The if is if one of the Aerialbots doesn't get killed before the thought of merging crosses their minds. I don't think it would take Silverbolt long to decide to merge into Superion, the problem is what buddhaquest brought up with one flying of the handle and getting himself killed.

They can merge in the air but still, I don't know how tactically brillant Silverbolt is...

I stand by my answer, even in it's greyness

I say the Dinobots would win

All the dinobots have to do is take out 1 aerialbot to ensure superion doesn't materialise.
I put Grimlock somewhere about Sixshot level fighting ability anyway so he could probably do this himself.

I'm gonna agree with Thanatos on this one. Superion in the air could take out the Dinobots

In my opinion, the Dinobot might have a tough time when the Aerialbots merged into Superion. If their unable to merged in time. The Dinobot might win this battle.

Well if the Dinobots battle the Aerialbots in their individual modes then the Dinobots win easily. But that would never happen the Aerialbots already know how dangerous the Dinobots are and wouldn't even attempt to engage them separately and would automatically merge to form Superion and let their combined form deal with the Dinobots. Now we have Superion vs the Dinobots and in this case then the Dinobots lose anbd Superion emerges victoriously.

The Dinobots did beat Devastor but if they battle Superion, the Dinobots are screw.

I can see the Aerialbots take this if they rely purely on their speed. They'd only need to perform numerous strafing runs on the Dinobots until atleast 3 of them are down, then they could easily mop up the remaining 2 by forming into Superion.

Now, the Dinobots could get a quick win if the they engaged them in a area where the Aerialbots couldn't perform any airborn manouvres. And similary, a ground battle would be suicide as well (if Superion isn't formed instantly).

It really depends on 3 factors:
- The environment
- Grimlock's decisions
- Silverbolts's decisions

I guess that this fight could go either way.

The strafing runs won't work against the dinobots, remember the 86 movie, where the dinobots (the pea-for-brain versions) shot down sweeps that used the same tactic. If the aerialbots use the most cowardly tactic ever (merge into Superion and shoot the dinobots over the atmosphere) that is the only way they could win, but I doubt Superion can take out each of the dinos before his energon is depleted completely.

Dinobots. Easily.

The dinobots are probably more agile in the air than superion.

I'd give it to grimlock and the gang.

Skydive's nega gun can make things crumbly. Air Raid's torque rifle can twist things. Put them together and you have crumbly Dinobots being twisted and falling apart. Aerialbots win. If this method fails, they form Superion and batter the Dinobots into submission. They have to target Snarl first because he's the most dangerous due to his solar boost super strength.
