seeing that the fallen would trash thunderwing without a whole lot of trouble according to alot of people, im curious to see how he measures up to sunstorm. dreamwave sunstorm of course. i gave a brief rundown on thunderwing in my "thunderwing vs the fallen" thread, so heres some basic info sunstorm:

shockwave created him by cloning starscream and implanting him with a solar fusion reactor, and reinforced his body with electrum (or something very similar) to allow him to withstand the amount of energy produced. as a result sunstorm has the ability to generate large amounts of energy, and he can regenerate from most damage.

his blank mind was then uploaded with some information from vector sigma, leading him to believe he is a holy crusader sent by primus himself. some impressive feats were him destroying a large autobot shuttle, while weakened he defeated omega supreme (though not though sheer power alone) and it took eventually took his own unstable energy to destroy him, once the extra protection given to him by his electrum was negated.

so, who takes this fight? the mad pretender, or the insane super powered seeker?

If Sunstorm uses a full power blast near the beginning of the fight, then he'll probably win.

If Thunderwing has time to figure out how to avoid Sunsotrm's powers, Thunderwings could win.

This really could go either way.

It depends on what you classify as a victory. Sunstorm has the pure energy to rip Thunderwing apart, but he would rip himself apart as well in the process.

he only ripped himself appart because some tf's scientists colaborateed and...

1. Figured out he was a clone of Starscream, the baddest seeker of g1 lore, with a cascading reactor effect.

2. Figured how his frame emulated electrum, regenerating in the process and containing cascading reactor energy.

3. Used a part of Starscream to nutralize clone's electrum emulation, causing cascading reactor energy to over whelm sunstorms frame.

4. Used high EM radiation sheilding to survive being anywere near the golden seeker. Still took levels of system failure.

To Thunderwings credit, he's smart enough to get 1 and 2, while like Jetfire, 4 would be no problem; without Starscream present, he ain't neutralizing the electum emulation. Atleast pre-insane Thunderwing could.

DW Thunderwing was defeated by a series of drone firepower finished of by constand bombardment from Optimus Prime using an aresenal visibly identical to his powermaster toy design.

Sunstorm can win this.

If Thunderwing was sane enough to say... dodge

I'm sort of going to side with Axiom on this. IDW Thunderwing pretty much needs to be withstood until he starts running out of power. While that might be too bright of a strategy for Sunstorm to come up with on the fly, all he'd really have to do is keep fighting and wait Thunderwing out. Becuase of Sunstorms' enhancements I think he could keep up the offense and defence long enough to tire Thunderwing out. I pick Sunstorm.

As much as I liked IDWs' Thunderwing in Stormbringer, I think anyone can beat him provided they take far far less damage than they inflict and allow Thunderwing basically to tire himself out.

Thunderwing wins by default because Sunstorm is very faulty and would be dead by now.
