I'd say it's either Alucard or D. Since D's probably going to kill dracula eventually (I haven't read the books yet) I say D.

By the way D and Blade aren't vampires. They're both Dhampyr. (aslo called Zamphir, Dhampir, dhampire and dhamphir) Even though dhampyrs are not as powerful as vampires D is special since he was created by Dracula's experiments with human women. D is said to be the only perfect specimen that Dracula created. He is probably as powerful as Dracula if not more due to his strong will.

Since Alucard is either Dracula himself or the same kind of experiment both he and D are most probably the most powerful of the lot. But there is one last thing to consider: the older vampires are, the more powerful they become. Hellsing follows loosely "Bram Stocker's Dracula" movie by Copolla. If Alucard is indeed the Count himself, he is about 550 years old by the time of the manga. D is over 10000 years old and has fought too many monsters, demons and vampires to count them all.

For the first time in a fight with Alucard, D wouldn't hold back.

By the way, you also forgot Donovan Baine and other characters from from Darkstalkers.

Yea Blade and D arn't real Vampies, but they have similar poweres so I just put them in, Alucard may very well be Dracula, you just have to read his name backwards) but I'm not compleatly shure.

Never heard of Darkstalkers, I just put in all the guys I know.

True. However, Alucard can take a licking and keep on ticking. And this is assuming that he does not call his familiars into this as well. D is good, but i doubt he could defeat an entire army of the dead on his own.

 Hell yeah he could. He faced much worse than armies of undead. He could probably send them away as fast as they came. It's like saying: "Could an army of innanimated flowers beat a man with a mower?" When you can beat a thousand years old count without much effort, armies of undead are usually completely irrevelent.

Anyway I don't think Alucard would actuly waste time summoning familliars. If he does it's like if he admited defeat in front of D.

But remember, some of Alucard's familiars are powerful vampires themselves. And I dont think D could keep Alucard down for too long. I dont recall D having any blessed weapons, and those seem to be the only things that deal any real damage to Alucard, whereas Alucard could impale D and probably kill him

Wrong. D was impaled on two seperate occassions in the first movie. Once by his own Masamune. He survived both times.

D isn't one of those pesky artificial vampires. D might as well destroy Alucard from the inside out. D might not be as flashy as Alucard but he does pack a awful lot of power.

Definitely Duckula. He has a secret potion that makes him a bit better than anyone else. The potion is called 'Rhedd Boulle'. ;)
