Who would win in a fight? These are the scenarios:

- G1 Hot Rod vs. Armada Hot Shot
- G1 Hot Rod vs. Energon Hot Shot
- G1 Hot Rod vs. Cybertron Hot Shot
- G1 Hot Rod vs. Cybertron Defense Hot Shot

Rules:
- Armada, Cybertron, and Cybertron Defense Hot Shot cannot use Minicons or Cyber Keys
- Energon Hot Shot cannot Powerlinx with anyone

Let the debate begin!

G1 Hot Rod wasn't much of a fighter IMO

But most of his opponents are wusses

so Cyb. Hot Shot emerges after this brawl

G1 HotRod out shoots his first two Hotshot foes.
-ie armada and energon lose
Cybertron's Hotshot falls to Hotrod aswell but inflicts just enough damage that neither may drive away.
-ie a draw but in favor of Hotrod still
Defense Hotshot simply outlasts the cavalier.

If Cheetor had the size i'ld toss him in in a heart beat.

Gotta agree with Psycho Warrior on this. We all know how tough G1 Galvatron was and although Hot Rod was loosing that fight, he was holding his own for a good while. Certainly able to take down the shots if it was one on one and Rod was able to heal back to full health between each round. If it was all shots against Rod at the same time, he would probably fall though. But not until he gave them one humongus repair bill!

I to agree Hot Rod would win these one on one battles against the various Hotshots. Although I must admit how surprised at how well Hotrod stood up to Galvatron considering that Galvatron is suppose to be an upgraded form of Megatron whom handled Hotrod with one arm as if Hotrod was no more of a threat to Megatron than say you or I would have been. Makes you wonder just how powerfull Galvatron actually is.

Hot Rod wins in any scenario that is 1 on 1.

um in the comics, he's damn near unstopable.

id go hot rod. hes actually a pretty good fighter. he trashed numerous sharkticons without trouble, wrangled some unwilling dinobots, and lasted a long time against galvatron. in all his fights the odds were seriously stacked against him, like fighting a giant mecha squid that had already torn a war veteran apart, or fighting hoards of sharkticons, or fighting galvatron himself.

but hotrod always held on until the bitter end. his skill wasnt lacking at all, there were just "more sharkticons than photon charges", and face it, galvatron is freaking galvatron, nobody but one of the primes is going to take him out. hotrod wins.

I don't like either of these characters in any version, but Hot Rod would win all of the fights except against Cybertron Defence Hot Shot. Too much firepower to contend with, even without the Cyber Key gizmo.

Up against Hot Rod the Chosen One? You should be comparing him to a higher caliber Bot like Starscream or Megatron, not some pansy like Hotshot.
All Hotshots would fall even if all Four went up against him at the same time.

I'm not so confident about energon,cybertron, and cybertron defence hotshot, but armada hotshot I am quite confident in his abillity to beat hot rod in a one on one fight, and the reason is because armada hotshot is stubborn.He will not give up no matter what happens.In the transformers armada when everyone had given up hotshot did not, and he encouraged everyone else not to give up.I never saw hot rod do that. Thats why armada hotshot wins hands down.

Hot Rod, not only did he get Optimus killed, but before the body was even cold, he became the new Prime.

Ops took out Megs. Unicron made Megs better, Galvs. Galvs dismantled Ultra Magnus with one shot. Rodimus took out Galvs. Talk about rallying the troops. Nuff said.

Only Cybertron Defense Hot Shot could beat Hot Rod.

Overall, Hot Rod wins.
