Now, we all know that Goku and Vegeta had one real battle, in the Saiyan Saga (I'm not incuding the Majin Vegeta fight 'cause Goku stopped the fight) which Goku won. Just.

Even though Goku's a little stonger than Vegeta, the Saiyan prince is smarter. And here's my question.

Since their power levels are quite similar (Assuming they're both at SS2), wouldn't Vegeta be able to best Goku since he's a more tactical fighter? I'm not saying Goku's an airhead, but he should have just as much of a chance at winning this fight. Unless his pride gets in the way...

What do you guys think? Can Vegeta defeat Goku?

Vegeta has admitted that Goku is much better than him. It was on Supreme Kai's planet, when Goku was fighting Kid Buu. Vegeta was doing some weird monologue, and was watching Goku fight Buu. And he said that, while he (Vegeta) fights to win, Goku only fights to better himself and others. And that outlook makes Goku improve more than Vegeta.

But after that, didn't he change himself to more Goku-esque ways?

That's exactly the problem there. Goku can reach SS3 and not Vegeta. That basicaly means he is he can reach the peak of SS2 and Vegeta can't. I'm not sure Vegeta can win a fair fight and he is too proud to use others as shield in order to win. Goku may be dumb but he fights well. In fact most of his intelligence is used only to fight.

Goku is where you throw up a bit in your mouth. I prefer Vegetta, the plant-based smoothie.
