Hosehead vs. Inferno

One red Autobot firetruck against another. It definitely seems like an even draw at first glance, doesn't it? But Inferno will clearly emerge as the victor. Hosehead's pure incompetence alone is enough to guarantee his defeat.

BUT...let's suppose that Hosehead's Nebulan partner, Lug, takes control of their shared mind? His bravery, coordination, and quick thinking would probably keep him going for a while. So let's look the other factors here. Inferno is stronger, tougher, and probably has better firepower. On the other hand, Hosehead has the advantage of speed and mobility. At the very least, his robot form is more mobile and agile than that of the clumsy, bulky Inferno. And he's not that far behind in terms of strength and endurance--a pretty fair trade-off, overall.

Nonetheless...Inferno's combat experience wins out. Lug's good, but unless he was in the army or something, his battle skills will probably be a bit unpolished. And keep in mind that with Hosehead, his primary function is for rescue, not combat.

In short...this fight might get a little protracted, but Inferno clearly emerges as the victor.

Hosehead has an accelerator rifle that somehow accelerates things it shoots. Inferno has a dampener rifle that somehow reduces the power of other beam weapons. These two rifles cancel each other out.

Both these firetrucks shoot copious foam, enough to smother the immediate area. Inferno has missiles while Hosehead has laser pistols.

Hosehead is clumsy while Inferno is bulky and slow. Hosehead is a Headmaster, which should boost his abilities overall.

Maybe Hosehead can wear down Inferno over time but Inferno is stronger and should be able to knock out Hosehead if he comes within reach. As with all 'masters', Hosehead's Nebulan partner is a vulnerable point. If Inferno is ruthless, he could target the Nebulan.

Whoever wins, they're unlikely to kill their opponent. Both are rescuers in the end. They would only fight each other for the greater good.
