It just occured to me while watching Star Trek. Borg nanoprobe can assimilate technology as easily as flesh. Does that mean they can assimilate Transformers?

"I am Optimus, of Borg. Freedom is irrelevant. Sentience is irrelevant. 'Till all are Borg"

That's a good question. Can a borg get close enough to infest a cybertronian? True the Borg can adapt, but's hard to adapt to a 9 ton mechannical being squishing you. Personally I think a transformer could adapt to the nanotechnology and fight it off from the inside.

The smaller, weaker transformers might get assimilated, but somehow I don't see guys like optimus prime going down. Then you'd have to take into consideration certain personal/factional issues. If the borg did *anything* to upset megatron I think the borg might want to move far,far away..the ones who're left anyways.

The Borg easily they will adapt to cybertronian technology so after a few dozen drones are wiped out the Cybertronian's biological and tehcnological destinctiveness will be added to borg.

BTW how many cubes are there as if their are more than one then they will just assimilate cybertron from orbit.

When you say Cybertronian it makes me think more so of the Cybertronian Empire from the Generation 2 comics. This empire being both vast and powerful like the Borg. And on top of that, they could replicate themselves. There biggest advantage would be their leader, The Liege Maximo, who is alleged to be one of the 13 original Transformers, making him hella powerful and of divine origins.

This would give the Borg a fierce run for their money, and under these conditions I wouldn't put my money on them.

Yup, the Borg would become extinct really freaking fast if they faced Liege Maximo.

No contest. Transformer tech is superior. Transformers hack and win. It would take time to conquer all the Borg forces, though.
