Batman vs. Profilers

So, it's not a typical Fantasy Battle, but the ol' girlfriend and I have taken to watching a lot of Criminal Minds. We got into a conversation as to whether or not profilers would be able to figure out and catch Batman.

Vigilantees are criminals as per the law. Batman's identity is a secret. Do you think that in a real world situation a group of profilers could figure out that Batman is Bruce Wayne? I don't mean they'd 'catch' him like arrest him, but could they figure him out? There's apparently a lot of discussion as to the validity of profiling anyway, like whether or not its a legitemate use of resources or whether it's a lot of mumbo jumbo. So, could psyche profilers catch the Dark Knight?

I think its conceivable.

Particularly if these investigators have accesses to information about Batmans traveling habits.

Let me try to explain.

Bruce Wayne is a famous rich person. There have been many cases in which he went out of the country....and in some of those cases it was public knowledge that Bruce was in that country.

And yet, when Batman also made a public apparance in that same country....,no one made the connection???

I always had that same problem. In The Dark Knight, Bruce Wayne vanishes the same time Lucius Fox and Batman appear in Hong Kong, and reappears in America the same time as both. And no one figures out Clark Kent is just Superman wearing glasses.

I thought in TDK it was known that Bruce Wayne was on a cruise with the Russian Ballet, not with Fox in Hong Kong. I know Bruce Wayne was physically there in Hong Kong, but that wasn't what the public knew.

I dont think it was public knowlidge that Bruce was in Hong Kong.

As far as I remember, the public thought Bruce was on a private cruise with swimsuit models.

And Clark does something to make himself look different.

It wass explained but I cant fully remember what it was.

Yes, but I find it surprising that none of those women ever mentioned to anyone that he had left part way through the cruise.

I doubt they would have known he was gone for long.....or they thought he was doing something underhanded.

They most likely figured that he's a rich American who fely off in a private plane to score some drugs.

Ra's al Ghul (supervillain) worked out Batman's secret identity many years ago (1971 according to the wiki), by monitoring cash flow and delivery of materials into and out of Gotham.
