The comics version of Shockwave was a lot more bad ass than the cartoon. Could he single handed defeat the rampaging lizard?

Shockwave helped build Trypticon. If he could blast a way inside of him he could offline him easily. That's a very tall order though even for one of the top 5 most bad ass Decepticons in the comics.

Shockwave would win. Cartoon Trypticon was sorta wimpy.... "GIVE ME METROPLEX!!!" What the HECK!?!?!? YOU WANNA DO WHAT TO METROPLEX!!!

The version of Shockwave that offed the autobots with a shot through a volcanos wall, and has power that is comparable to Megatron, against a Trypticon that barely had more brain than cartoon Grimlock?

S could shoot T full strength in the head. Take out the brain and the hypnotic eyes. Win for S.

S might have the shutdown codes for T. That would be a quick win for S.

T has plenty of firepower in base mode. He could keep S away and reduce S's chances for a counterstrike.

I think that T would win this unless S has those codes or pulls off a killer move.
