Transformers VS. Gundams

I actually thought of this few years ago, so who do you think will win?

In my opinion, I'm sure Gundams will win over the sentient robots due to the pilots' capabilities(like newtypes, coordinators, innovators) and more advance weaponry(fin funnels, hyper mode, zero system, dragoon system, GN drives, trans-am mode).

Oh man, you're not the first one to start this thread. And if it's anything like the last few times, it's not going to go well.

For starters, what kind of limitations are we talking about here? Are the Original 13, Unicron, and Primus allowed in on the action? Which universes are invited? Are the various superweapons from Gundam allowed? (Solar Ray, Colony Canon, Memento Mori, etc) What kinds of ships are allowed to the fight? And, most importantly, are the ELS invited to the fight?

I think, without the ELS, Gundam will just edge out a victory. "Unicron can only be killed by the Matrix!" They didn't use the Matrix to break out his eye to get inside him. And the giant superweapons can do a lot more than blow out an eyeball. There's also the tendency for beam spamming, especially in 00 and SEED. In fact, in 00, the various factions all teamed up to fight a fleet big enough to cover up Jupiter, with a base the size of a moon...though that ended in a truce. Which brings me to my next point:

If the ELS are allowed to fight for the Gundam universe(s) this one is an easy victory for Gundam. Contact with them is lethal, the only way to survive assimilation is to remove any parts that came into contact with them, and they love Zerg Rushing. And that was before they learned to start copying Mobile Suits and start their own beam spamming. And the aforementioned gigantic fleet, the mass of which displaced two of Jupiters moons? That belonged to them.

There are hundreds of thousands of Mobile Suit pilots, too. And then there's a ELS, who had a fleet that, as I mentioned, was larger than Jupiter, not including their moon-sized mothership. Not even the biggest of beam spams could stop them.

I dunno about where to find them. If you're into anime, particularly downloading it, the usual sites should have something. As for series, start with the Universal Century (UC) and work your way up from there. Wikipedia should have a list on chronological order, I suggest starting with the 1979 series (Just "Mobile Suit Gundam") then it's sequel Zeta Gundam.

As for the ELS, they were the de facto main antagonists for the movie meant as a finale for Gundam 00, the most recent series.

What is ELS?

Now in straight up Gundam with a standard generic pilot vs Transformers in a one-on-one mech vs. mech fight with no fleet, no newtypes, or super weapons for either side. I would go with the Transformer for the win because quite simply they could think and react (even the dumbest and slowest Transformers) faster than a human would.

Now throw in fleets, superweapons, ace newtype pliots and the Gundams could win...but just barely.

Extraterrestrial Living-metal Shapeshifters. Like I said, the de facto villains in the Gundam 00 movie, and also the first alien species in all of Gundam. Contact with them causes them to assimilate the victim, and they love swarming tactics. It's also impossible to communicate with them. They're a hive mind that doesn't (or, more likely, CAN'T) speak with outsiders, and psychic contact is nearly lethal. Humanity would have lost to them if Setsuna hadn't convinced the ELS to call a ceasefire.

Gun dams don't work. The guns just go around and flow downstream. Transformers win.
