Richard the Warlock vs Aang (Avatar)

This is pretty much everything you need to know about Richard. He comes from the webcomic Looking for Group.

Aang has mastery over all four elements (Fire, Water/Ice, Earth, Air/Wind) and can trigger the Avatar State, a godlike state that gives him a crazy power boost.

Richard is undead and can take a lot of punishment. As a warlock he can use pretty much any magic you can think of, but the comics tend to stick with fire and ice. For when he isn't able to cast spells, he can pummel someone to death with his fists due to draining the soul of a monk once (it tasted like chocolate).

Put simply, Richard is one guy you do not want to meet in a dark alley. Or anywhere for that matter.

It's been directly stated that he is NOT undead. It's even been shown his zombie-like complexion is just makeup. How he can survive all the stuff he's survived (Up to and including decapitation) has yet to be seen.

That said, I have to give this one to Aang, though just barely.

Some fans suspect that Richard was turned human again after the demon trial, though we have no confirmation on that yet.

Anyway, I'll give it to Richard

I've been going with the "He's A Lich" theory.

Liches are undead. Richard is not. Kinda kills that theory. I'm betting he uses his undead village in some kind of Dorian Gray type deal.

Reguardless of his current status, it's been established that he can take a lot of punishment.

That said, he still has to find a way to get past the Avatar State.

Aang lets out the most horrendous airbender (fart) known to man or sheep. Everyone within a radius of 147 kilometres dies. Horlicks drink wins.
