Well for a start he'd get the Dwarfs involved, no doubt abou that (For examples of his tear-raising speaches, read Guards Guards), so Sauron would have to deal with the Dwarfs as well as Elves/ Rohirrim and Gondor. That alone would make the odds better.
Yup.. and eventually it's Headbanger who takes the throne of Gondor instead of Aragorn, who becomes steward :p
